After doing a load of housework I am hot!!! Living room is 16 atm and i've got the windows open to air the house - will close them after the school run and probably end up lighting a fire again tonight :D

When I posted that, it was lovely sunshine outside - then, all of a sudden we were covered by a HUGE dark grey cloud, the wind picked up, the temp dropped substantially and its raining

I've just cleaned a few windows and done some dusting. Worked a treat, I'm quite warm now :j
  • So where do you all get your thermometers from? I must invest in one.

Mine is actually the fridge thermometor, I bought it from ebay. I've just done a search for fridge thermometor and the same one came up at the top of the page for £2.25

I've got Smart Meters & they come with units to monitor temperature & energy usage.
Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.
  • I NEVER have the heating on per se, but I do run the heating for 30 mins a day when it's really cold, just to keep the pipes defrosted. I do have a mobile gas fire in the living room & a convection heater for other rooms, if my Michelin-man clothing doesn't do the job!

I took readings last winter: bedroom nighttime - 3C outside my bed, 21C inside! A duvet, army winter sleeping bag, with long johns, PJ's and a fat cat. It's the only time he gets in bed!

It does help if you're a tight-fisted, curmudgeonly, misogynist tho! :D

Thats what I have too, an electricity monitor with a temperature display. Its in the kitchen, which is why I only report the kitchen temperature. It is interesting though how the house varies in temperature throughout.
