I put it on for 30 mins this morning. The bathroom was freezing.

Still off here. I need to get some cracking around the exterior door that is letting draughts in but still resisting the temptation to pop the heating on. I've got my fleecy blanket, but I think I may have to get the spare single duvet down soon as it's about 12 degrees max in the day. I'm holding out for the beginning of November, just have to get OH to last that long too!

Still off here, 16 degrees in the house this morning and it felt COLD! Stepping up my winter preparations now, DH will without doubt want the heating on if I can't keep it a little warmer in here :)

Stove is lit and wet dog sprawled out in front of it.

So far this week we have had floods, snow, torrential rain since Sunday and now hail. Everything and everyone is sodden to the skin. Its not particulary cold, just wet and orrible and real flames and hot coffee make the world seem a brighter place :)

still OFF here. Cold, wet & windy but I have a polo neck on & cardy. DS is home ill & has a fever & is hot anyhow so he's not needing the heat. I'll use blankets before the gas.

Ouch. It's just gone up to 15 in mine.

Tonight's going to be the cold one, for us anyway.

My OH left both windows wide open in the bathroom after her shower early morning.. by the time I went to have my shower, icicles were almost forming on me

  • It certainly was cold this morning. OH brought me a coffee and chocolate croissant in bed and then laid hands on me and I wanted to scream.

urgh, poor you! We have no vent axia let alone something more modern, so I feel your showering in the cold pain. But we're not modern enough for a shower, so we bath, tyring to get done before the water goes from too hot to too cold:D:D

    Hello all,

Can I join in please. :)

I'm at home from work, possibly until February :( seasonal work unfortunately, unless I find something else.

Anyway, the upshot being I'm at home during the colder month and would prefer not to use the heating during the day. Purely down to cost rather than being brave :D Mind you I don't like the hot weather either, so I ought to be okay.

I've no idea what the temp is here. I can't say its exactly cold, but I'd probably put the heating on, given the choice.
