Unless there's a heatwave ours is staying on. I did manage to hang the washing out earlier and the wind whipped it into submission drying it quite quickly.0

Mine are still off. Sent the kids to bed early last night with hot water bottles & I wrapped myself in a cardigan & fleece blanket - I was very warm. DH refused to wrap up & I refused to put on the heating - esp after learning about the profits these companies make!0

I take my DS to play school and most mornings we both arrive in T-shirts, while everyone else is in jumpers and coats.
Soft! The lot of you! :rotfl: (most of you)
Yes, hands up, I'll sign the 'fession! I AM soft. I was tough once in my youth, camping in the snow with no heating, sleeping outdoors and all manner of dumb stuff.
Hands up who on here hasn't been out on the lash in their youth in a frontless, backless evening strap and shoes that give you a nosebleed? Golden days.
I'm a fully paid up member of the fuffy slipper and fleccy PJ brigade now though. Times is tough I tells ya and I hate being freezin'0 -

Heating if off in our house.
Trying to wait as late as i can this year before it goes on. I found once it goes on, you want it on all the time.0 -
I have got the temperature up to 21.5 degrees in the house at the moment and that is getting heat from the conservatory. So I am hoping that willbe enough to carry us through tonight.
I was a wuss I admit it last night but it was cold, it dropped to 16 degrees inside so I had to do something and put the heating on for two hours, but having said it was still nice and warm when I got up this morningso I guess it was worth it

I've just washed my hair and put a deep treatment in, and I'm sitting wrapped up in layers and wondering how long I want to keep the hesatig off. In all seriousness, if I had a proper job and needed to wash my hair early or late in the evenings, I think I'd want the heating on a little now around that time.0 -
Well, putting on heating for the first time, tonight.
It's very cold here, and a chilly wind. Oh well, not so bad, gone longer than we thought we would.

Mine went on, on Sunday afternoon because it was just too cold in the living room (which gets hardly any sun until late afternoon). It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
