I just had a look on that Accuweather. It says it's 6C here but the real feel is 1C. Tonight it's going to feel like -5C

I can never understand the windchill factor. If it feels that cold, surely it is that cold?

Well I've done it, waited long enough, I've now had to put it on.

Yes ladies and gentlefolks, the 100% woollen jumper has gone on for the winter, the wife's sewn it up and will unpick it in the summer. :)

The heating is still off though :D

    Hi peeps

its horrible here. Gizmo says 10 degrees outside but it feels much colder as we have a huge gale blowing everything over outside. Just checked the local weather site and the last gust was 56 mph

I have my tealights on and indoors its 16 so i`m going to put my lovely electric blanket on shortly and then go and read in bed :D

I`ve no idea what the "feels like" temp is as my preferred weather site has been down for the last few days but i`ll bet its bloomin cold.

Mardatha - Hope that you get your boiler sorted soon x

I don't know how they work out the real feel (here it's set to go down to -6C ) - I think other sites have something similar. I think they take into account humidity and wind chill. I tend to just pay attention to the actual temp. What is everyone's favourite weather site? I have a few bookmarked but never sure which is best.
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

  • It was lovely all day here till about teatime and then the heavens opened and the temperature dropped.
Not complaining though I got five loads of washing bone dry on the line outside.
Its warm enough in doors though 19c,so no need for any heating yet.
