Been 6+ weeks, was supposed to be starting work today.. after the builder being "on holiday" and then the brother being "ill" and then the plumber "on holiday" too -- seemingly now the boiler hasn't arrived. Maybe fell off the back of the lorry? Or fell into the black hole that is the plumbers mind? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I phoned the HA and grassed anyway.

Hope you get it sorted soon Mardatha! Our heating is on now - its only 8 degrees outside, pouring rain and strong winds so really have no option - just wish these bl**dy power companies would get what they deserve and somone take them to task instead of !!!!!footing around them!

we were 8 degrees at school run time but def warmer now so avoiding putting on the heat just yet - do have an extra layer on though!

Hope you get sorted soon Mardatha. Here I have 1 fire lit,in the kitchen,as I am baking later and need warmth to get the bread to rise. But the rest of the house is unheated at the moment.

Mine is still off, the weather forecast for this week looks okayish, so no plans to put it on in the next week at least.

It's a little cooler indoors now I notice, was a bit chilly after my shower this morning but did not put the fan heater on

My heating is still off. I say heating, we only have a fire in the living room. The rest of the house is unheated. People are mortified when you tell them you don't have central heating but we are so much healthier. We haven't had a cold for years.

Off here just now but I'm swithering, 9 outside 15 inside and i can't get warm at the minute feet feel like ice and I've felt sick since getting up. Had water bottle on lap and dressing gown on top of clothes, it's dreich here rained constantly all day and is dark and gloomy:(. Will light my candles later. Oh what does DH and DD mean ?

Ours is off, but the wind is blowing a hooley out there! I'm tempted, very tempted. I might have to relent this evening before everyone gets home from school/work.

I've got DD2 off school today as she woke up yesterday with conjunctivitis, and today it's in both eyes. I have to put drops in every 2 hours, and school prefer them to stay off anyway. She's not cold though - she's snuggled up on the sofa unto a quishion and cuddling the cat :rotfl:
