Its quite brave.16 is time to do some housework as briskly as you can and put a blanket out to snuggle in iun the evening, but not duvet on the sofa and ironing all day long weather yet
Drink warm drinks, wrap up warm and keep as active as you are able. And be sensible and take care.

Off here,it was cold first thing this morning the suns shinning through the windows now and the LR is showing 21c.OH was complaining it was cold when he got up but if he walks about with just a t-shirt i don't know what he expects .0

Put it on timer today for an hour in the morning and an hour in evening. Trying to get OH out of bed these last few morning has been like pulling teeth! This morning he managed to drag himself at an almost decent time. Found one of my old cats (14yrs old) sleeping in my bed when we got home from last night so I'm hoping putting a fleece near radiator will keep him a bit warmer too.0

Off here but its feeling pretty chilly at the moment (it must be quite cold if I am feeling it lol). DH, DD1 and DD2 all appear to have woken with sore throats/coughs/colds this morning so the heating will probably go on within the next few days I suspect.
Temp is 8oc outside (according to the car)and 15oC inside (downstairs) at the moment.
Forgot to say all those people who are holding out as long as possible dont forget to put the heating for testing purposes to make sure it works sooner rather than later. We tested ours at the weekend and one of the rads wasnt working so glad we tested it before we needed it for the warmth!2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.

Still off here, and have not yet felt the need to, it has been quite mild here in the South West, although I note right now it is only 9.2deg.
I did note from my records that I succumbed this week last year, although the average night time temperature for that week last year was 4.1, compared to 8.8 this year.
The forecast is for a cold night tonight but becoming more mild by the weekend, lets hope so as we're off camping for the half term!!!0 -
After doing a load of housework I am hot!!! Living room is 16 atm and i've got the windows open to air the house - will close them after the school run and probably end up lighting a fire again tonight0

It's been pretty wild here. We had sleet today. I got brain freeze yeterday from walking in the horizontal freezing rain! Not had the heating on any extra, apart from the normal couple of hours in the morning and evening. The wind was blowing in the vents in the kitchen today so it was cold, so I baked some brownies to heat the place up!0
