I agree with Katgoddess I think our heating will have to go on during the kids bathtime as I was freezing after my shower yesterday. Will only put it on low for a short time but enough to take the chill off the little ones.
I've done this the last couple of years. I make sure all the curtains are shut, and stick any wet washing on the radiators to make the most of the heat.0 -
Still off, but there is a nip in the air despite the sunshine. The washing has been out since 7.30pm and some is still dampish. It has given rain tomorrow was hoping to get most dry but sadly ran out of space and what was out didn't dry fast enough. Heating wont be on tonight, children dont seem to notice and DH on nights, so Ill be wrapped up in my pyjamas and fleecy dressing gown.

Still off.... It is cold here but I have put extra layers on myself & DS.
I have no intention of sticking the heating on either...I have an heater that I will stick on for 5minutes whilst getting DS out of the bath...
At the mo myself & DS are snuggled on the sofa under a furry throw over so nice and cosy.
Must admit I love the cold nights when I light the candles, sit down with a mug of coffee under a throw watching tv... I find lighting candles take the chill off and gives a nice warming glow.!October grocery Challenge

Rainy - We are barmy with our animals
each one has a couple of nicknames that we call them too and they all answer to them :rotfl:
DH makes a strange noise that the cat knows to answer to as well. You`re right - we`re all crackers
Fingers crossed for a couple of degrees increase in the temperatures!

How about this for mad then, our Labrador is called Biff but sometimes we call him him Biffkins Bunny or Kinsey which he still answers to. The spaniel is Saffy, but sometimes we called her Lou-Lou-Belle :rotfl:Spirit the horse is often called Purzel and Jake the other one, is often called Jacobs Ladder :rotfl:Love you becomes Wuv you, oh I could go on. DH calls it Wainey speak and he thinks we should have our own dictionary to go with it!
Baxk to temperatures, currently outside it is 13 degrees inside courtesy of the conservatory is 20 degrees hoping that it won't have to go on tonight though!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

its off here but its getting cold now0

Off! And I intend to keep it off until at least November 9th. As part of the new super thrifty no spending Totallybored I intend to stick to this as last year we gave up and turned it on in September. I've invested in slankets for me and OH and last year I bought an amazing goose down duvet which I'd recommend to everyone. We only normally turn the heating on in winter when we get home from work in the evening and then off before bed (we haven't figured the timer out) and weekends we might have it on during the day if we're in but I intend to use even less this year.0

I put ours on this morning to test it - I couldn't get it to work yesterday, but that was only because I didn't give it a chance. It would have been handy to have it on last night as DS's teeth were chattering!0

Off here as well
How do you explain to visitors why your homes are cold and do you put some heating on if guests visit?
Im interested as I have just been ignoring the fact that it is off when someone comes.0 -
Still off but its realy not been too bad here today.
I dread putting the heating on actually,I find it very uncomfortable as I quite like it on the cool side.
Tend to find I become very lethargic once the heating goes on for the winter.
I'd rather be chilly and busy than warm and feeling tired all the time.
I much prefer to sit with a throw of an evening.0
