  • Very windy here tonight, its realy cold outside too.
Can't believe the change within 24 hours.
Its not cold indoors though but I'm nice and snug anyway in my pjs and dressing gown.
Got a fleece handy incase it gets chilly.

Still off and what is saving me is my lovely goose down duvet. It was worth every penny though it cost quite a few pennies. Last two nights have felt cold so I took it off my bed and popped it over me on the sofa to watch tele before an early night. It is lightweight which I love and soooooo warm.

I'm dithering. I'm ok in a big jumper and jeans but the house isn't warm and I have people coming...should I light the wood burner.....I'm guessing a lot of people would have the heating on today?

EDIT: After this I lit the woodburner and there was a streak of fur as all my pets huddled as close as they could crowd next to the woodburner.

It's really chilly here, the last few days and actually a few hard snowy bits fell yesterday but I must have got really hardy not having central heating for a couple of years. Sat with all the upstairs windows wide open letting in the fresh air...can't stand a stuffy house, it just gives me a headache. We haven't even had the gas fire on in the evening and feel too hot in bed:eek:. DD has been putting on the electric heater in her bedroom though and saying she's freezing so it's maybe just us:o. I think getting back to regular exercising has helped me have a higher core temp:D.

I am a wuss and mine is on. In my defence, I'm at home sick and even with layers and a huge fluffy dressing gown I'm still shivering under the duvet.

Cor! what a huge change in the weather, it's like the end of the world out there tonight. Thunder, hail, gale force winds and very chilly. Yes, my heating is on low. I am a wuss.

Had the same here last night, and well, on and off today still.

Was much chillier when I woke this morning - 18.5. So, I did give in and put the heating on for a bit as I've woken with a sore throat today (after a few days of niggles and an itchy nose).
