It was chilly when I got up this morning. I am looking at the local weather temperatures and it is saying 19 degrees and 18 degrees at the weekend and on Monday, so I am trying to hold off.

I will probably think about putting the flannelette sheets on the bed next week when I strip it back for washing. I don't think I can hold off much longer in not having them on as I am also thinking about hot water bottles to take to bed. My feet were so cold last night, they did warm up eventually!

  • I'm about to change the 4.5 tog summer duvet....to a NEW 4.5 tog summer duvet! (special offer and cheapo at s'market).
We can always pull up a top cover if it gets really cold, but I was warm last night coz we shared with a wasp! Stung me in the night but I couldn't find the little b**ger, this morning he fell out of the duvet cover when I was changing the bed. He is now in that big waspy nest in the sky!!!
Pleasant day here, just chilly. We have the heating on for a max of half an hour at night (just in the lounge), close the doors and it keeps toasty.
    Normal people worry me.

Still off here atm, the gizmo reads 17 degrees indoors and 13 outside. The sensor is on a garden chair in a little plastic box in the sun so i suspect that it may be reading a bit higher as the heat build up in the box will do that.

The wind is amazing  in the park this morning walking into the wind was a struggle and walking the opposite way it blew me all the way home with very little effort from my legs.

Little old woofaloe has a heart condition so if the indoor temperature does drop any more i shall probably put it on a low setting for him, i`m hoping that the temps will climb a bit as ideally i would like to get to the first of November before it goes on properly for the winter.

DH makes a strange noise that the cat knows to answer to as well. You`re right - we`re all crackers :D

Fingers crossed for a couple of degrees increase in the temperatures!

Off. However, I can see it being put on for an hour each evening during my 3 year olds bath and bedtime routine, within the next couple of weeks.

Won't have it on full time (as in switch on timer so it comes on for a few hours in evening and a couple in morning) until there's frost on the ground.....

Brr can really feel the chill today. Kids went to school with their winter coats on for the first time since September the beginning of the year.

I agree with Katgoddess I think our heating will have to go on during the kids bathtime as I was freezing after my shower yesterday. Will only put it on low for a short time but enough to take the chill off the little ones.

Our indoor temp at the moment is 20oc in our bedroom with only one window open a bit (slightly warmer in the lounge). Dont know what the outdoor temp is supposed to be, might move the fridge thermometer outside just to see (dont really look at it in the fridge lol).

Still planning on leaving the heating off (apart from bath night) until later in the month if I can but my little ones will come first in that respect and if I think its too cold for them even with layers on then I will put the heating on low for a short time after school.
