NO NO NO, cant be any white stuff just yet, the temp has been 19 degrees here today , sunny and windy ,no rain........but after having 28 degrees it does feel chilly, I reckon we are spoilt with our weather here...........its made me go all soft and squigey.....:eek:. Seriously though its far too early for snow??????. If id got snow here at 11 degrees my heating would be well and trully on.......keep warm folks...

The temp has plummeted here in the central belt of Scotland and we put the heating on yesterday. OH and I were coping but our DD who is prone to asthma and chest infections complained, for the first time ever, of being cold (with layers on too) so we knew that without a doubt it had to go on.

There has been hail stones and stormy weather here too so it doesn't look as if the weather is going to perk up any. We will play it by ear though and put it on and off as required. I am quite content that it was October before we had to put it on.

Its not cold enough for hail or snow here in the south, but temps have dropped where I am a lot this afternoon. I know I'm cold when I keep delaying popping out to feed the horses!

Gutted to have had to put it on for half an hour this afternoon only to dry washing. Was fooled by the bright sunshine and gusty winds so put all the heavy bedding in to watch. Soon as the spin cycle had finished the heavens opened :( Not planning on putting it on for real for another week or so if possible.

It's not got above 7 degrees here today but the wind has made it feel even colder but the heating is still off.

  • Heating is not on here. Have a nice breeze going through the place, the thermometer says that it is 15C and it feels nice while I'm sat in trousers and a top :). We are aiming for the 1st of November before putting our electric radiators on but hopefully we will be able to go longer than that.
