Still off ...... been decidedly chilly the past couple of days though (about 12 deg, wet and a howling gale outside and about 15 deg in).
Trying to hang off until 1st Nov ..... or I'll really struggle when the good ol' Scottish winter sets in properly!
I'd rather put up with being chilly just now to save some usage so I don't have to worry about the bills if I need to put it on a bit more when the weather gets really bad.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

off, and warm enough to open windows, but with less enthusiasm than last week.
I lit scented candles yesterday instead of airing the house, as the air was heavy and dank outside...(in fact it is today too), and the house smells lovely this morning.I'll be honest, I don't find them that warming physically, but they are calming and pleasant and make me feel happy.

Blowing a gale here but not really cold, just cold ! I was just reading a blog with pics of a school in Iceland - and the front door-foyer is crammed with skis and sledges.. makes us look total wimps0

Still off here.
Was cooler outside last night, but not what I would call cold. I only had a vest top on with my rain jacket over that for the journey home (this was around 9pm). And indoors it was still 25! So we had another night of sleeping with just a sheet on (rather than duvet).
It was still 22.5 this morning, but I expect it will be much cooler by the time we get home as it is a wet and windy day today, and the temp outside has dropped again (now 16 outside).February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I always try to get to october half term before the heating goes on. But this year we have a small baby in the house so it may go on sooner if it gets really cold0

Still off here!
The gizmo says that its 21 degrees outside and 20 inside, it definitely doesn`t feel that warm outside
Its blowing an absolute gale and things are flying all over the place, i`m just waiting for the binmen to get past our house and then i`m going to fetch the bin back and put it around the back of the house before it ends up down the street.
Quite sunny in bursts but also some very dark clouds flying around so i think that we will be getting some rain soon.
My Dad doesn`t have any central heating at home and won`t even hear of having any either, he has a gas fire in the living room, another in the back room and an electric blanket on the bed and thats all. The kitchen is like a freezer in winter and so is the bathroom, his pipes INSIDE froze last year. He now has a small electric fan heater for emergencies so if it does get freezing cold for long he can at least keep the pipes in working order.
I remember the thick ice inside the windows and the frozen solid washing toohopefully all are a thing of the past for us but you just never know.................
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Have admitted defeat and put the heating on for early morning and evening (ie when I'm home but not in bed and it's dark o'clock). I'll boost it manually at lunchtime if I'm at home and it's necessary. I know I'm a wimp compared to some but hey ho! I'll adjust the timeclock based on sunrise/set as we go through the winter and finally switch it off about April-time. Of course, we may have a heat-wave in December but somehow I doubt it!Household: Laura + William-cat

Still off here, and if I had my way it would be off right around until March 2012 - when we could review the situation in a sensible controlled manner, like adults
:rotfl::rotfl:
And by then all my bruises and bite/scratch marks would have healed:D0
