Sunnyday - same here it is blowing a flipping gale and has been all day although it is quite mild in the air.

Rainy - Its still very blustery again here today

It keeps raining in short heavy bursts too, i got absolutely soaked whilst out with the woofaloes this morning, the rain was blowing sideways and you should have seen the state of us when we got back home.

It took two towels to dry the dogs and my coat and trousers are hung on an airer, i think that they will take a long time to dry properly. Shame they can`t be hung outside for a spell as the wind would dry them but i`d never get them back indoors quick enough for when the downpours start up again.

Its a lot cooler today, 9 degrees outside and 19 inside, it was 6 overnight - well thats the lowest i saw it before going to bed.

Sooooo my heating is still OFF :D

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

I don't understand the allowance per bedroom? We just had someone come to our door last week. It would've cost us £99 (which I think is still a good price) but he asked if there was anyone in the house in receipt of any benefits. I told him our 18yo gets DLA so he said we'd get it for nothing. I showed him proof of the benefit and he took note of my son's NI number and that was it. They never mentioned it was for a certain amount of bedrooms though.
    .

On the paperwork I've seen from a few different companies doing these grants for insulation you get a certain amount based (loosely) on the size of the house and that was lumped on the paperwork into numbers of bedrooms. (plus the fee...I thought it was more than £99 in my mind,..which is not good :oI thought it was £149).

In anycase, some for that amount is better than none, and I'm hoping we'll feel the difference.

its beautiful here, but chilly with a brisk breeze: an excellent drying day for those things that didn't get done in the heatwave or have accrued since. :)

I'm wearing a jumper, but doing some vigorous housework, so feeling a little too hot!

:rotfl:You are as barking as us, we call our two "wobbitts" or "woofaloes" as well. OMG I just thought it was us on idiot speak I honestly think if anybody heard our conversations they would section us :rotfl:

Got our two out this morning but it was just windy, although their paws were dirty so yes their towels were a bit mucky where the dirt gets under their claws!! Mind you the amount of times I have come come back drenched, hair like Crystal Tips and looking like I have had a hard paper round, I have lost count. :D

I had the windows in the house open this morning but I have not long shut them all up as once again I am taking the heat from the conservatory and alowing it to come into the house, current inside temperature is an impressive 22 degrees :T outside temperature is 13 degrees. I try and use the conservatory as a good source of free heat to keep the house warm whihc works as long as the sun is shining.

Heating is still off at the moment but there is snow in the hills to the north of us so unfortunately it may have to go on soon. I am doing the same with the heat from the conservatory - letting it filter through the downstairs - temp outside at the moment is 11 degrees but its a chilly wind so feels slightly colder - inside at the moment the conservatory is 21 and the sittingroom is 19 which is just fine for during the day. might have to boost things in the evening though with the fire for a short time:-(

Rayburn went on yesterday evening. Partly so we can check the plumbing reroute for the heat sink radiator. Should now be in the bathroom. Also the house was starting to feel very damp. Hope it will dry off a bit now.

Very, very windy here... terrifyingly so, Jazz windows again in the dining room. Poor Doggles won't be going out in this.
