not yet. Warmer clothes on though and hotpot in the oven so the brain is definitely turning to its autumn setting. Feels nice outside today but it`ll feel miserable when its one of those horrible grey days.0

I know that I am in the SE and that might make a difference, but I don't need a jumper during the day and I am not the most active of people - although I do go out and walk for half an hour first thing in the morning and that seems to keep me warm for a good part of the rest of the day.
From the age of 5-14 (now 25) I lived in a house with no central heating, just one gas fire in the living room. You'd go down to the kitchen in the morning, and you'd know about it if you forgot your slippers: the tiles were like ice. It did have cavity walls, but was pretty damp and it used to rain a lot (South-West Wales). We used to grow webbed feet in winter! (not really!)0 -

Our last house (rented) had no central heating, no double glazing and the windows didn't fit - looking back it was quite funny to see how inventive we were with hot water bottles and various blankets but it was absolutely no fun at the time. I remember waking up to the radio one morning and the weatherman said it's minus 8 in Benson which was about 2 miles away from us and I was nearly in tears at the thought of having to get out of bed at 6am to go to work. It was so cold in the winter our cats - all 4 of them - used to get under the duvet with us and stay there all nightI remember being so happy when I passed my driving test as the car had a heater! :rotfl:

Mine's been on for a few days, only for an hour in the morning though. I can't have a shower in a cold bathroom. I've just this second set it to come for an hour in the early evening, just in time for another shower lol.Bulletproof0

We put the heating on this morning to test a new radiator in the bathroom. It is definately much chillier even here in the south east! Up to now have just put on a cardi and socks in the evenings. Mind you I have CFS and feel the cold.
I too can remember living in houses without central heating and the inside of the windows icing up! Brrrr! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

No heating yet here. It is starting to get chilly though. All young adults though. Mind you I did get flu and develop pneumonia last year. Could that be linked to our housing conditions? I've found my lost fingerless gloves that I'd been looking for for ages, yay! Unfortunately they had fallen down the back of the sofa into the rat poison so they need a damn good wash before I can wear them. But I will be wearing them once they are washed and dried. I'm on the look out for an Afghan blanket type thing, or any sort of warm blanket really, to wrap up in in the evenings. The duvet is OK if you're just sat there not doing anything but otherwise too bulky. Pretty skint atm so will be scouring the local papers and ads in shop windows to try and find a jumble sale.0

and yes mine is on despite lovely sunny days0 -
I cracked and put ours of last night. despite jammies, socks, duvet and two fleecy blankets i was still cold and i can't sleep if cold. So it's now set for 1 hour before getting up, and some time in the evening so it's toasty warm for bed time.0
