Is your heating ON or OFF?

I was tempted to put the fire on last night - it was sooo cold! Managed to avoid it, watched tv wrapped in a throw
. I am trying to make it to at least 1st October without heating. GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100 -
My heating is most definitely OFF. And it will remain off till at least end of October or November. My heating usually comes on when a few layers of clothing and a thick duvet no longer do the job of keeping me warm. Before then, if I'm slow cooking something, I'll leave the door to the kitchen open and the warmth from the over will warm the house somewhat.
It's August, it's too early to have the heating on! OH and I slept with the windows slightly open and the desk fan on last night, would be too hot otherwise.Dec GC; £208.79/£220

Our heating is OFF and I am hoping it will stay that way for as long as possible. When hubby and I moved into our flat, he was so wasteful - he'd walk round in boxers and a t-shirt (sometimes just boxers!) with the heating on full blast! After 4 years he has finally learnt to put some clothes on prior to turning the heating on lol
With a baby due in less than a month I am hoping we will be able to last until October before the heating goes on, but unfortunately I have to accept that the heating bill is most certainly going to be more this year due to being home all day...0 -

You are very lucky as this year I think our heating has been off for all off 10 days in total and its now getting chilly enough during the day to think about putting it on a bit earlier0 -
Ours is off and we are hoping to last until November but with a baby on the way we might switch it on earlier this year. There's definitely an autumnal sniff in the air this week isn't there? I'll be booking the annual boiler service in October and I've just dropped the winter duvet at the cleaners in preparation. I love autumn!0

Yesterday in my corner of Sunny Suffolk the TOP temperature for the day was 17°
THAT is my WINTER minimum setting for my central heating! (Currently off btw
