Is your heating ON or OFF?

Scary. I've turned off the fan, closed the window nearest the bed and I might have to put some socks on if it gets colder here tomorrow.
Until then, I'm sleeping on top of duvet.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
My patio doors are still open, it's not cold but the weather app on my phone says it's 13c but 'feels 8c'
My heating will stay off as long as humanly possible.0 -
I had to put a fleece on today whilst in the house because I felt quite chilly. I also had to put a fleece blanket over my legs whilst watching TV this evening. It is defo getting chillier but am holding back until end of October before heating goes on.Grocery Challenge - Sept £205.56/£350.000

As usual my heating will go on at the end of Oct and off at the end of March, or earlier if poss. Single retired person in a 3 bed house, I'm having to watch the bills so am considering living downstairs this year. Unfortunately I don't have a ground floor loo but I'm sure I'm tough enough to go upstairs a few times a day - got to keep the circulation going anyway

I've still got my windows open and took my long sleeved top off to just a vest top as I was roasting tonight!
Er..probably mid October like last year when my heating will go on I think...0 -
Tonight is the first time I've had to put a cardi on, normally I'm warm enough in a t-shirt but I don't think it's been cold enough for the heating yet. That said my friend has had hers on a few times over the past few weeks but I personally find her house very warm.
I don't have a set day/month when I put the heating on, it just goes on when we feel cold. As much as I'd like to keep it off as long as possible (the prices really bug me) if we feel cold the heating will be switched on.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
OH and I were talking about this at the start of the week, agreeing that last year was good in terms of putting off turning it on, but we wanted to try keep it off longer this year. Then this afternoon my father and elderly grandmother come round to visit so I turned it on for them.. *sigh* It went back off soon as they left but this always seems to be our problem, family coming over and being cold, then us feeling guilty and turning it on. Anyone else have visitor heating related guilt?!:doh:0

Not even thought of putting it on any time soon. Don't think I'll need the bedroom fan tonight as we have a chilly wind. We're hardy folkLost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

We've got thermostats that will kick it on if the house temp goes below set temp at set times so I don't put it on till it puts itself on usually. Might have to put the upstairs rads on for bath time if DS2 has a cold and the house is cold.0

It's 12:30am. The temperature now is 18 deg C inside the house (upstairs bedroom). The window is open slightly. I'm warm. Why are we talking about heating now. Mine will be off till it gets under 12 deg C inside at night. That's about 5 deg C outside at night and 12 deg C outside during the day. Last year that was the 20th October then again 25th October, the 7,8 and 9th November and from the 14th November onwards till the 20th March and a bit more was needed on the 26th and 27th March.:footie:
