Mine's been off since the first week of March.... it has been a tad chilly at times!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0

In the last few days we haven't been able to have heating on during the day gas been turned off while new pipe put in all down our road but it went on as soon as gas put back on only for a while to get rid of the damp feeling as i'm typing now it's off but my hands very cold(fingers tucked in sleeve of my jumper) and i've a thick blanket round my shoulders it's looking likely that heating may go on soon i try to keep it off as much as possible in the day so when it is cold in the evening we can have it on without worrying too much about the cost and it's always on the timer so only on for a couple of hours just long enough for shower and to get snuggled up under the covers my youngest (14yrold) has asthma so have to have it on when she feels cold although she doesn't feel cold as much as me i must be getting old!lol2nd purse challenge no040£0 Sealed pot challenge ???? £2 trolley find not counting small coins till end year0

I have a burner and am now lighting it from time to time to take the chill off. It had previously been on more or less permanently since about October!0

Its not been a great summer, autumn seems to have jumped on us from nowhere and most of us are preparing for a harsh winter  AGAIN!!!:eek::eek:
So.... who has succumbed to heating (CH/fire/stove) and who is holding out?
How long do you plan to do without heating this autumn/winter?
I think I will try to hold out until 1 October but if I, or the children, are really cold before then, the heating will go on!0
