Ok. OK, I admit to putting the C.H. on tonight. It's gone cold so it will be on for 4 hrs in the evening (but that's all).

It is freezing here ....I have managed to have the heating on..but my DH does not want it on and it causes rows. Apart from being tight...he does not seem to feel the cold ..it is a real problem as I hate sitting in my own home freezing. It is only a matter of time before Iget a balaclava!! (nice and warm now though..he is in bed and I have the fire on ..ha ha!)I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

Heating goes off at 10.30 and doesn`t come on in the morning. Temp is low but comfortable enough if I wear warm clothing. I have a good thick door curtain and all the doors, except the bedroom, are closed at night. This is a 2 year old townhouse ie tall and thin.
I came down at 6.15 this morning and had a look at the hall thermometer and also the temp in my study, downstairs on the north side. Both were 14 degrees C. I must admit that I am really pleased because the heat conservation methods must be working
I have never really noticed the indoor actual temp first thing in the morning as the barometer is higher than me but this has to be a good way of monitoring heat loss in the house if there is no further input overnight0 -
Still holding out here but lowest the indoor temp dropped overnight was only 17C so not cold enough yet for the heating to be put on
Think this cold snap is just temporary and will get a bit warmer next week so want to wait till winter hits properly0 -
Hi , It's blooming cold here (although it can be warm in the sun) It is a glorius day but as my house is in the shade it's cold indoors, so heating has gone on. I had it on the timer last night as I was out....I do have to think of my wee moggies one of which is poorly at the moment. shrewdal0

I am absolutely freezing! I have a thick, fleecy pair of pjs, a dressing gown, thick fluffy socks and slippers - and i'm sitting next to the radiator. I must just be a cold person! I never used to be, though

Ok so the heatings gone one. We lasted until 1st November. It was so cold even with layers. Its on 17 and is going on for 1hr in the am and 2 hrs in the eve. It just takes the chill off the air!0

Heat has been on timer for a few weeks now... a couple hours in the morning and few more in the evening. When I am home during the day, the kibble-powered heaters (moggies) work quite well when I am sitting down, so I don't need the CH on!I want to move to theory. Everything works in theory.0

We put ours on on Wednesday, a couple of hours in the morning and at tea time and half hour before bed.0
