DH has just worked out that having the heating on while we have a friend here recovering from hand surgery, is costing £20 per week:eek:

I find that I am ok if the indoor temp is 15 degrees or above. The lowest I have noted it is 14 degrees without any heating but I found that uncomfortably cold. I've set my thermostat to 16 degrees to come on twice a day and intend to keep it like that for the rest of the winter.0

I've had it on and off for a couple of weeks. I put it on the other night but couldn't breathe properly as got too hot so it went off again! I have a slight cold that can't seem to decide whether it wants to stay with me so i'm keeping it off otherwise by nose just bungs up.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

last 2 days ive needed it in the morning before we all get dressed and when we get back drenched from school run to dry out coats, pushchair, gloves ect and my back log of washing from last week when the machine malfunctioned. am drying all clothes now on three airers one in kitchen (with cooking heat) 2 in hall when radiator is on. only having 2 radiators on tho the hall which is main feed, so utilsing heat for washing and one on in the living room where the kids get dressed. have had the bathroom one on for 2 hrs why everyone had baths and showers and the kids bedroom radiator on for an hour to warm it ready for bed.Jan 2015 GC £267/£260

Mine hasn't been on at all yet - living room currently 14 degrees, but i've got 2 jumpers on and sat under a blanket so will be fine til bedtime. Think I'll probably put the electric underblanket on the bed at the weekend, though.0

Ours is still off. I've even had the windows open for fresh air. It is still very mild here. I am aiming for 1st December, only 24 more days to go, but will switch heating on if it gets uncomfortable - so far, so good; I know forking out for all that loft insulation would be cost effective in the long run!0
