Still off! here in the South West - not been on since late April, we have had a 500watt convection heater on in the lounge for a couple of evenings but that was back in mid October. We've not felt the cold since. Two weeks later than last year (so far) - I can hold out but not sure about Mrs Keicar! But I must admit I'm going to have to extend the time on heating the water as I'm not too keen on a lukewarm shower in the morning!

Minimum overnight temperature indoors has been 15.5 deg c, one of the few advantages of living in a modern semi I guess!

£77 in credit on our energy bill!

I'm southwest as well.A little sunny periods but I'm freezing that CH on switch is looking more and more inviting

Mine's currently on for an hour in the morning and about two and a half hours in the evening, just to take the chill off when I get up and before I go to bed. I don't have a thermostat but I've set the boiler to its lowest setting, which I hope will keep the bills down a bit.

I definitely couldn't cope with having the CH switched off entirely now - the worst bit is coming out of the kitchen in the evening - the kitchen's nice and warm because I'm cooking, and the rest of the flat is freezing in comparison!
Back after a very long break!

Resist! - DONT DO IT!! ;)

Its strange, our house is identical to next door but a mirror image so our lounge faces south, theirs north and does feel colder. Only problem is our garden is wet soggy and cold!

Mine will be off until November 23rd/25th....

....because that's when I get my broken boiler fixed :)

Haven't had a boiler since May/June sometime when it broke :(

    Cannot wait :)

Brrrr! My sitting room has been 12-13C all day and I was fine. Had cardi on, rug over me and laptop on. Chilly but fine.

But now I've just caved in as I could actually see my breath. I've held out onthe central heating but I've a lovely open fire going - am feeling cosier just looking at it!
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Ooo, I'm so jealous, I love an open fire!!

Who was it here said they'd lined their curtains with fleece? I was wondering if it had made a difference...?

Still no heating on here, been quite nice today because its been sunny on and off...

We have cracked and put the heating on the last few nights, it was on this morning too because we forgot to turn it off :o
I am not feeling too bad though, we are in Scotland and it has normally been on September/October so we are doing well. I think I may try setting it for a couple of hours around 4pm as that is when we feel it, might see if that is enough to take the chill out

I have mine on now as I have been frozen the last couple of nights. Going to try and put it off and on when required and it is down very low.
