My main heating is still off but I have put on a low heat the oil/water (not sure which) filled radiator in the bathroom on as it is siberia-like out there.....I was too tight to put underfloor heating in when I did up the bathroom a few years ago and regret it each year! Downstairs bathroom accessed via a little hallway, all tiled and mega-chilly! You take your life into your hands every time you sit down!!
The radiator is very handy though for a) keeping the nip off the air and b) drying all our clothes, I can get a load of washing done over 2 days if I'm lucky, lol.0 -
Ours is still off although it's been cold it's not anywhere near like it was this time last year,so not that bad.
It's been getting cold through the night as we are getting condensation on the windows in the mornings.
I don't think we'll be using the heating until December,we managed till the 3rd Dec. last year and it was realy cold so unless the weather turns realy bad it's staying off.
We've got plenty throws and stuff to keep us warm so everything's fine realy.0 -
Still not on yet, was 15 last night and 14 this morning.
I just got a new wool jumper off the internet yesterday and I was absolutely boiling last night, I'll save more money on fuel this year than the jumper cost! The OH and my DD want one now as wellFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Oooh, I have just got to share...

about a wonderful 3 in 1 snuggle wrap I bought at Costco on Sunday. (I checked the price on the receipt this morning, it was £13.99 plus VAT, so about £15 altogether).
I'm so pleased with it. I was sweltering in it last night, so I reckon it will be ideal when the temperatures really drop in a month or twoOfficial DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

Mines still off ,but really feeling it today.Every time i go near the CH on switch i think of the monthly payments going up and how we can't afford to pay anymore.I really feel the cold and it makes me feel miserable but i'm going to try really hard to keep it off till december .0

Still off! here in the South West - not been on since late April, we have had a 500watt convection heater on in the lounge for a couple of evenings but that was back in mid October. We've not felt the cold since. Two weeks later than last year (so far) - I can hold out but not sure about Mrs Keicar! But I must admit I'm going to have to extend the time on heating the water as I'm not too keen on a lukewarm shower in the morning!
Minimum overnight temperature indoors has been 15.5 deg c, one of the few advantages of living in a modern semi I guess!
