  • I've just switched it on.

I'm feeling poorly today and have been having a lie down and feeling quite cold.

Much nicer now its warmed up. The cats are happy too! ;)

Quite right too - it's there to be used when needed. If you're not well, you definitely need it - lol at the cats .

Well I put mine on on Wednesday evening as was cold, just for an hour or so and then half an hour in the morning.

I switched it off again last night as it was so hot! I'll keep it off in the mornings as i'm usually rushing around so don't tend to get cold, but may pop it on in the evenings depending how it is. I need to do some cleaning/hoovering later so no doubt that will warm me up a bit anyway.

Ours is on, but the thermostat is turned down so low it'll have to get incredibly cold for it to kick in. We're doing all we can to avoid that though - closing doors, wearing fleeces and lighting candles. Otherwise, it has been on for a short time when we got back from honeymoon and once in the morning the other day when we both got cold, but beyond that - nope, hopefully it'll stay off.

Heating still off though it's been raining here most of the day it's not cold. I altered the thermostat for the automatic winter time to kick in when the clocks go back (2am Sunday- don't forget!) and when I changed the setting the CH kicked in. Luckily only the radiator in the hall came on (all others are off) and I tried to reset the boiler as it shouldn't have come on. In the end I switched the boiler off, then back on again and heating went off.

At least I know the heating is working for when we need it.

    Hello All

Same here - still 18 degrees - in town yesterday without a coat. Isnt this warm spell helping us a lot!

We are still off here - but i live in the milder south west so its easier to stay warm than up north.

OH kicked off the second duvet last night - because it was too warm - who would have thought it at the end of October!

    Long may it continue

  • You will all probally hate us but me and OH have lived in our flat for 2 years now have only turned the heating on once, when we moved in to check the radiators all worked. Our buillding was only build in 06 and as we only have 2 walls that touch the outside and flats above, below and either side of us we are pretty snug.
