Mines off because its broken has been for ages and landlord is useless because they cant seem to fix it! The house is freezing as we dont even have double glazing
Has he helped you by providing you with any heaters or anything? Only ask as mine last year was the same and he brought around panel heaters (was fixed pretty quick though fortunately)!Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0 -
Definitely off here in the sunny south! Hoping to last out into November. Never put it on in the mornings even in the deepest winter months. I'm a warm mortal and just put my fleecy dressing gown on if I'm cold. Try to turn off at beginning of March as well.0

Mines off too, lots's of blankets and hot water bottles, hoping to get to mid November before turning on!!!0

I've put mine on a few times, especially at lunch time as our kitchen is really chilly, first winter in this house and I'm appreciating the decent size double radiators, they make a difference really quickly and I can switch the heating off again after 10-15 minutes. Have used the log burning stove as well and am getting the hang of lighting the fire and keeping it going.0

If I am in on my own I don't put the central heating on but will light the fire if it's cold.

Like the middle of summer here today - people walking around in sleeveless t-shirts/shorts
.
Bet it soon goes chilly this evening though, once the sun goes down. At this time of year, cloudless days/evenings = very cold nights! Will need to make sure we close the curtains as soon as it starts to go dark tonight to trap the warmth in the rooms.

Ours is off and we're going to keep it that way for as long as possible! We've got an open fire in the living room though, so while I'm cooking dinner I keep the kitchen door open to let the heat from the oven take the chill off while we get the fire going. Having said that we've only had 2 fires so far this year. I'm not looking forward to those showers in the chilli mornings when it really gets cold!*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150

Mine's still off! Getting colder though, but resisting by having blankets downstairs and DH and I wrapping ourselves up in those rather than having heating on! Will see how we get on once we have the cold workday mornings!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts

In London and I think it's still pretty warm. We got double glazing this year so much better than before. OH is complaining about being cold but as ever - more layers. Might be time to get out the duvet for the sofa and stuff him full of casseroled kidney beans for some lasting warmth!
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!0
