Mine is on now!! I'm in Northumberland and its rather cold up here.
I have had a huge credit with my Gas supplier and now I'm cashing in!
Its a real treat getting out of the shower to warm towels mmmmm......You can stand there and agonize........

Still off here, still using the summer duvet (4.5 togs) and still managing to dry most washing outdoors, although I doubt it will be for much longer. Autumn has been very pleasant & mild here
I'm not far away from you (well, in York) & have found the same thing! I've even had the back door open during the day on a few occasions.0 -
I had a lapse last Friday when i came in wet out of the rain and put the heating on that evening. Apart from that I have managed to keep it off. I live near Selby and it's been pretty mild here. I am looking into getting quotes to install a burn all stove cos there is lots of wood about when I'm walking my dog - free fuel!0

Although I was freezing yesterday evening, I'm warmer tonight. Might be helped though by the fact that I have a blanket over my knees! You wouldn't believe the difference!Because it's fun to have money!

Mine is off at the moment because apparently it's suddenly stopped working :mad:0

No heating on here yet, just putting on fleeces and snuggling under blankets in the evening, only bit of me that gets cold is my nose lol
Aiming for November but will cave in if the fleeces and blankets are not keeping us warm enough. Our house is made of wood, was imported from Scandinavia at the end of the war as a prefab (and still stands strong) and does tend to warm up quickly. Also waiting on loft insulation to top up what we have - total bargain, £9 for the whole house!!!!
Let's get ready to bumble! :rotfl:0 -
We lit the wood burner for only the 2nd time this year this afternoon. It has been a lovely sunny day here, but there is now a decidedly autumnal feel, and we had our first frost last night.
OH is very warm-blooded and still in short-sleeved shirts, but it's definitely fleece time for me and I think I will have to get the winter duvet out.0 -
Think I might need to turn mine back off again as I have been too warm!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I've just realised I have now been converted to OS moneysaving. My washing won't dry and I have no tumble dryer. So instead of (as I usually would) putting the heating on I have.... rigged up a complicated system involving dressing gown belt so I now have extra drying space for my bedding!0
