Is your heating ON or OFF?

Not knowing how to turn ours off fully, I just adjusted the remote thermostat to only come on if it was 16oc in the house or less.
It's kicked in for an hour or so the last few evenings here and tbh - that's fine by me. I won't freeze in my own house and imho 16oc is PLENTY cold enough to justify the heating on.
To be fair, we usually have the heating on from early September so i'm really proud of us.:T

Doing well here with no heating so far. Think my OH has come to terms with the fact that he just needs to put a jumper on rather than the heating after all of the nagging i did last year! Only getting cold tootsies at the mo but the rest of me is fine - isnt that what OH's are for - warming feet up in bed!Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Ours is still off and we're hoping to make it until Novemeber too, only difference is all four of use have changed to our "winter" Pj's, sox's and slippers. I think i have seen it termed as "dressing to the season". Some of our friends will have had the heating on full blast, walking around in shorts snd T-shirts claiming to be cold.

Haven't put ours on yet and only had to sit under the fleeec blanket once in the evenings so far. Will be putting the winter quilt on the bed this weekend but this week's weather is pretty good for this time of year so finding it easy not having the heating on at the moment!0

Still off here, still using the summer duvet (4.5 togs) and still managing to dry most washing outdoors, although I doubt it will be for much longer. Autumn has been very pleasant & mild hereOfficial DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Mine's on
. I am off work sick but you still gotta eat and do the odd thing, like washing etc. Also it's a check that CH is working + lots of drying hanging over the rads to get maximum effect for my money. It does feel nice and comfy though.

the portable wireless thermostat is in the lounge and I have it on 20 from 5 pm and 16 for the morning. The boiler is programmed for a couple of hours in the morning and from 5 to 11 in the evening. In reality it only kicks in for half an hour or so in the evening as the house is well insulated and the sun shines in. The freezer keeps the chill off the kitchen anyway so morning is fine. Kitchen is downstairs under the lounge
I have no intention of being too cold but am still in a t shirt when the sun shines in0 -
Yes we have ours on nowI love competitions0
