The weather is going to be turn at the weekend, fair enough I suppose as it has been wonderfully mild up until now.

A couple of points of concern, the first being around wood burners. Cozy they might be but I wouldn't rather have healthy lungs! And secondly older people that appear not to feel the heat are at higher risk of hypothermia.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

I think I'll be able to hold off until the weekend when it's going a little colder.
We are aiming for the same - might have to cave on Friday as it’s a predicted low of 7c here
It's looking as though it's going to be dry though, possibly quite sunny too before warming back up to 12-13 by mid next week where I am (assuming the weather doesn't change in the meantime). I'm hoping I can keep most of the warmth in the house till it starts to warm up again, then I may be able to hold out for another fortnight or so.

Failing that I could always go in the sea for a quick dip to warm up, the sea will probably still be in the low teens even over the upcoming weekend and certainly felt quite mild on Saturday.

@Rosa_Damascena, Also true of people with health problems. Hypothermia comes on so gradually, unnoticed if you are focussed on writing or work on the computer with a deadline to meet. Working at night especially when the thermostat was set lower, and there were no interruptions.
