Just checked the long range forecast and it looks like I may be able to squeeze another 2 weeks without the heating on. Looks like it's warming up a little this week.6

We’ve been away this weekend and house was 12 degrees when we got back so heating on for a good hour especially as we got back late so no fire this evening.
It’s strange - am so tuned in to avoiding the heating - when I feel it kicking in I have a small panic - even though it’s me who has turned it on 😳😱🙄🤣

I don't understand myself sometimes I'm £300 in credit and due the £200 plus hopefully WHD and only pay £60 per month in my lovely 1 bed flat.
It's similar to always have cupboards and freezer full.
Maybe too much time to worry 😟6 -
£60pm is still a small fortune compared with energy bills when I bought my first home in 2001! An unfortunate reality of our current cost of living situation.luvchocolate said:I don't understand myself sometimes I'm £300 in credit and due the £200 plus hopefully WHD and only pay £60 per month in my lovely 1 bed flat.

That being said I spent a decent chunk of yesterday walking about 13 miles along a beach still in shorts (I did still wear a jumper though) and didn't feel particularly cold unless I stopped for a bit and was in the shade so perhaps there's an element of acclimatisation involved on my part, it was also very sunny and I was out the worst of the wind so I felt warmer than I usually do when it's only around 10C outside.

I think you are all much tougher than me. I have lost a lot of weight in the last 18 months and I am really feeling the cold more now I don't have the extra fat insulation to keep me warm!
I am having a fire most evenings as the heating is on the blink.
20c in living room with the fire tonight
