Is your heating ON or OFF?

Still not quite ready for heating here, inside thermometer is reading 15C but Im fine with that (I prefer lots of layers to too much warm air).
Honestly heating's kinda a waste of money for me. I dont have curtains so heat escapes through the windows, front door opens directly into the living room and I have no hallway so cant shut the doors due to dogs (also no cosy rugs on the floor due to said elderly, infirm dogs). I might as well just get used to the cold!!LOL

We caved this morning and popped heating on for an hour as house was 14 c. Looks like temps may rally next week but reckon heating for one hour in AM in meantime.

Thermostat read 16.5 this morning so heating went on at 18. Now sun is out - it reads 18.5 so heating has turned itself off. The heating will stay set at 18 until we go to bed.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Heating firmly off although I made some soup earlier with the windows wide open so admittedly, the kitchen remains chilly.

Heating still off here and just warming the bed up with an electric blanket. I always live out of the kitchen at this time of year until it gets colder and the storage heaters go on. I'm running a dehumidifer overnight to keep the house below 60% RH and using a convector heater in the kitchen for the last hour of E7 cheap rate to take the chill off before the sun comes out.2
