Still mild so day 2 no heating whatsoever2

It's so mild, not only is my heating off but I've cast a tee shirt and I'm wearing two layers now.3

Had my heaters on for a while during the week of snow, but now back off and hoping that's the last of that sort of weather.

Day 8 of no heating!3
-
Our central heating is now on 2 hour in a morning at 20 deg (house was 16.2 when I put it on this morning when I left for work)
Fire goes on really low in living room from around 2.00pm and then central heating back on at 20 deg from around 6.00 - 10.00pm
Smart meter says we are running at around £11 / day (£7 gas and £4 Elec) so around £330 / month
we pay by DD £160 then the £67 credit so£227 so around £100 coming off our credit which is at £660 still so we are looking OK for winter. Already started a sinking fund to top up next winters as not sure if we will be getting any help as not on any benefits and they say it will be more targeted next year.
It used to be on 23 deg so we have cut down somewhat but Mrs Indout has major circulation problems so always cold (BPM in 40's)Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy2 -
It is off at the moment. I am doing laundry and I was about to switch it on to dry my clothes but I think I will try the heated airer instead. We have the window cleaner coming round so I will be opening the doors so it seems a waste to let all the warmed air out.
My dog started shivering yesterday as she had her annual jabs so I put it on for for about 4 hours yesterday.4 -
I think this constrain rain we,re having is making it harder to stay warm. Damp cold seems definitely "colder" than dry cold and I,m about to push the boost button on the gas boiler for an hour's top up heat.
Being elderly and disabled definitely makes it harder to move around more regularly to keep warm and keep the circulation moving.6 -
My fixed price energy deal finished on 31 Dec, so off peak is now 14p per kWH, peak is 52p per kWH (!!!!!!) . I used an energy consumption calculator to see how much my 3 storage heaters (2 × 2.5 kW and 1 × 1 kW bathroom heater) would cost to run full time. £41 per week! They have been mostly off since it's been warmer, I'm relying on my log burning stove and my snuddie while I can.3
