Lounge/Kitchen is down to 8.8 now, outside hasn't gone much above freezing all day and minus 4 is expected tonight, went for a walk about 4pm and the lanes were covered in ice. May need to put the fan heater on for a bit when tea is ready otherwise the meal, even a mug of tea, gets cold so quickly.
  • It was literally freezing all day long - but bizarrely I still felt heat through the window when it was sunny this morning.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

That really is worryingly cold, @mjm3346. Hope you're okay.
I must admit when I came back indoors after a walk it felt quite warm inside and it wasn't until I glanced at the thermometer I realised how low the temp was - had the fan heater on 1Kw for a while and got it up to 13.1 before putting it back in the bedroom where it will be on for 5 mins or so before going to bed - takes the chill off and with a hot water bottle under the duvet it's nice and warm
