    North east coast.

I put the heating on this morning when I got in from work for an hour, and have had it on for an hour just now on getting up. It's really foggy and damp here today.

Still have bedroom windows open (but to be honest they are open all year round in the main) , and windows in conservatory, kitchen and bathroom.

It will be going on more though soon I would imagine to dry clothes.

It can't be too cold yet, the cat is still hanging out in the conservatory until around 4 then goes upstairs. When it's really cold she boycotts the conservatory. :D.

I'm not too sure how, but my last energy bills state I have used half what I used the year before...:T. Not sure how that has happened though.......
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
  • It's off now, but was on for about 1/2 hour, while I ran a bath, which I'm just about to take.
  • Mine is on, always 24 hours a day. House is nice and snug.

Honeywell electronic thermostat. Set to 14C most of the day, night, with fuzzy logic control to 18C morning and night. No thermostats on radiators. Current Gas !eccy bill is about £72 a month, though current payment on tariff is only £58 due to surplus.

Why set your thermostat to 21C and the run the thing to thermostat controlled radiators to warm the front room, when the fire is more efficient.

    Expects flack.
  • This is my thermostat.

Fitted by me. I am sure a electrician should fit for about £50. You'll get your money back in months.
  • My heating is now on - rented flat with single glazing. On for about 30 mins morning and night, is enough for now. Dual fuel bill is about £46 a month atm, not sure fire others seem to pay so much? Though I'll not have the heating go above 17-18 degrees as it feels too hot for inside
:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A

Off but I have a big dressing gown on.

What I'll do when the belt (which is fraying) to this dressing gown goes I don't know lol. Yep its about 25 years old lolol. But its so warm, unlike the bri-nylon (sorry fleece) things that seem to be all you can buy nowadays. I wear it all the time, over clothes etc when its cold.

    Yes, I'm a saddo lolol.

Mine goes on for an hour in the morning to take the chill off, but my house is so well insulated that any more and its too hot.My combined gas and electric bills are £48.00 per month and I usually have a surplus left in June.I had £100 odd returned to me last June.My little house is mid terrace and very small so it costs buttons to run thank goodness when we lived in our previous house the bills were huge.I am glad we downsized if only for the running costs

Mine went on about an hour or so a go. It will be set to come on on a morning and a little of an evening but for now it's warming the house up. It's got too cold too quickly.

2 days of rain and no sun on the 3rd, the house is now struggling.

Mines off at the moment, my office is in the converted garage and there's no radiator so a bit pointless heating the house while its empty. But it is set to come on for half an hour each morning and a couple of hours early evening.

It's very damp here and that makes it feel chilly.
