Just turned the thermostat up to 13 deg and put all the radiators on number 1 to ease the system back in to use.
I need to get in the spare room and change a couple of things round to free the radiator up and get to the boiler to see what setting its on.
Electric heater has gone on in the lounge this morning, just for half hour to take chill off the room and get it used to working again.
Like happy35 (above says), I don't like the house too hot but if it's too cold, then I get ill and my chest is already playing up.0 -
It's pouring with rain and really foggy today..but surprisingly still quite warm. So heating is still off.
Hoping to hold out until November.0 -
The weather report on the BBC says it is meant to be humid today but it feels chilly to me, my fingers feel freezing. *Confused* I will just go and put a jumper on.:p0

I am managing to keep the CH off even though the house is a bit cold, but have had the wood stove in the living room on on a couple of occasion. We put it on yesterday as we need to dry some clothes so we caught two birds with a stone, the house was nice and cosy all evening. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

If i put the heating on i'm hot. If i turn it off i'm cold. I'm managing by just putting the gas fire on in the living room which is the coldest room in the house when i'm in there at night. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Rained for most of the day. Felt unwell this evening so had a bath, but it was a little nippy when I got out. Soon warmed up with slippers and dressing gown...0

Heating is mainly off here.
DD was chilly yesterday morning so it was on for an hour. Very wet and cold here today, i have washing on the clothes horse so when i get home i may need to pop it on for a hour otherwise the house feels extremely chilly.

No heating on here (London, Edwardian end of terrace house). I haven't felt a bit chilly. I'm still having a cold 'submarine' shower every morning, so I'm seeing how long I can last without hot water as well as heating!'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level.
