Is your heating ON or OFF?

came home from work tonight and the temp is 10 degrees in my kitchen, felt very cold in the house, but after popping on a onesie and a cuppa and hot water bottle I feel quite cosy. Cat has a water bottle too, not as hot and under some towels, she is quite happy!
So heating is off here still.0 -
I got the £12 off with my last bill.
Having some heating today as my flat is very cold, facing north with enormous windows which are double glazed but still must let out some heat. Fleeces and lined house boots at the ready, and flasks with hot drinks by me.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
May I ask how they decide who gets the £12 credit?
Anyone who holds an account with an energy supplier as of the 12 October 2014 will get the credit.

Not put the gas fire or central heating on yet.
Decided I'll go to bed with a hot water bottle soon and expect to put the gas fire on tomorrow.0 -
The heating hasn't been put on yet. I have a 2 bed flat, south facing, with large windows. Living room is the coldest and is around 16-17 degrees at the moment.
Hot water bottle on order.0 -
I have just watched an energy prog on channel 3, omg I feel so much for the people who cannot afford energy. Recommended temperatures are 18 in the bedroom and 21 in the lounge and if the body starts cooling, as in the programme, then people feel well but the blood pressure rises and they are in danger of heart attacks and strokes.
We are all paying about £60 a year for useless green energy and I am stomping mad, so unfair to the poorer members of society.0 -

Iv'e just been watching this as well,my LR is currently 18c but I have jumper and a thick dressing gown on with a throw over my lap.If I was in a thin jumper like the reporter in the experiment I would be freezing and the heat would be on.
My Oh has a enlarged heart and suspected COPD (awaiting confirmation)so this has made me think maybe when he is home the CH needs to go on for a while.0 -
We put our gas fire on tonight as DH was cold which is unlike him and seeing as he was already layered up he must have been chilly. I sat for an hour or so this afternoon with the back door wide open as I am trying to stop the condensation from building up on the windows as it seems to be a constant battle here.0

Still off, teenagers haven't said they are cold but DH did say "think we need to start thinking about putting the heating on" it's likely it will go on this weekend, although I feel ok.
