Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Still off here. But it's getting very chilly. Wrapped in blankets watching a Harry Potter listening to the rain.

  • Still off in Essex as we had sun all day which warmed up my tiny fishbowl of a flat. Then my neighbors below came home and turned theirs on so it's 19 in here tonight.
  • We caved in and put the ch on this evening for 1 1/2 hrs as the house did feel cold. Pleased we've lasted this long though :j
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)
  • Returning to this thread now it's actually supposed to be getting colder.

Had a guest today so put it on for a bit, as soon as they left it was off again. Don't find it remotely cold enough to put heating on, I had a jumper on but got too warm earlier... It did feel cold outside when I took the bin out for collection just now, but feels warm enough inside. So only using heating to either dry my clothes or when people visit. Not had to use my fan heater to warm the living room yet either.

Just did my British Gas bill predictor and it's predicting way less than last year so far... Plus I got a £12 miscellaneous adjustment out of the blue so account a bit in credit.

I wonder if I can last till December?! Or beat last year's money saving on the energy bill? Will keep updating lol!

Ofgem made a ruling that all eligible households were to be refunded with £12, for all those who are unaware of this, please see the link. It was a lovely surprise when I logged onto my BG account and saw the £12 sitting there as a credit :D

    Marvellous, mystery solved, thanks! :money:
  • I got the £12 credit too.

My electricity bill, for the last quarter, was £41-04, with actual electricity used being down 40% on the same quarter last year.

Likewise, my gas bill, for the last quarter, was just £28-72, with actual gas used being down 49% on the same quarter last year.

If I keep on like this, they'll be paying me. :D
