Heating on now but very low and not for long. It's more for the house than for us - have a damp problem. Wrapping up warm though.0

It looks like a lot of people held out for a long time this year.:) Ours went on last week but today is feeling quite warm as there is strong sun outside and it's helping to heat the house.0

Still holding out here! 15 in living room today but that's fine for me, I'm still wearing my thin summer coat outside and not really feeling cold.
Maybe it's this blubber I've noticed around my midriff that keeps me warm :eek:0 -

I told the children that today we "are having the big switch-on" they thought I was talking about the Christmas lights.
Central heating has just been switched on.

Still off, mostly by virtue of living on the 4th floor and having flats 'hugging' 5 sides of my flat (3 sides, above and below) to help insulate. Parents were house sitting on Friday to help sort out inept plumber working in flat above who decided to create a water feature in my flat. They put heating on for a while, but I'm not finding it cold enough yet."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/chronic-obstructive-pulmonary-disease/Pages/Introduction.aspx#closeThanks that was useful. Doesn't sound pleasant.
No, not pleasant Bobarella but self inflicted (even if no-one knew what the consequences would be until relatively recently) as I smoked for many years. I stopped as soon as I was diagnosed 7 years ago, exercise gently as much as it allows and eat a reasonable diet all of which has helped to slowed it down but ultimately it's progressive and irreversible. However I didn't ask for it to be in my life, it invited itself, so it has to live with me not the other way around. I'm making the most of what time I have and enjoying every day of my life
On low yesterday as I had a tiny baby (my great-granddaughter) visiting and just on for an hour this morning. Having the laptop on my lap (where else?!) and the dog snuggled in beside me on the sofa is as good as any fleecy blanket
