OFF still, but only because when I tried to put it on this evening, it wasn't working0

It is really chilly here tonight (Essex) Hmmmmm do I cave in and put it on for a bit???
I think I will have a hot soak and put on the fleecy PJ's and slippers;)
I just popped in to see what everyone was up to and saw this post. It sounds like my last hour and a half and I too am in a rather chilly Essex. Like raven83 I have just had a hot bath(son 2 now using left over water- very frugal!) and now in snuggly pjs and woolly socks.
Must be the Essex way of staying warm.
As for the heating, we vow never to put it on before the end of October. For many years we have stuck to this, forcing children into jumpers and extra socks and will again this year I hope. We have a log burner in the front room so fire that up on extra chilly nights at this time but it makes going to bed a little on the cold side. But hey, I grew up in Cumbria!
Thanks for letting me join in.
Kind regards

Wood burner went on today, cats have been flopped out in front of it most of the day.
DD (18) came in moaning that her room was 'freezing', I did point out that wearing more than PJ shorts and a vest might help - I got the OMG face, but she did come back looking like a purple monk with dressing gown and hood up - blesssss.........Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Hi, I'm trying to stretch the time out before putting on the heating!! Hubby said a few days ago it was time to put it on in the morning, but was wearing just a tshirt at the time so was told to put a jumper on!! It is getting close now though, feeling it chilly today, but out most of the day and thick dressing gown on this evening and the blanket thrown over! It's very chilly here in North East (Cleveland that was) however the wood burner is enough and warms the main room and DD's bedroom where the chimney passes through! Aiming to making it to Nov 1st at least.Debt - CCV £3792

Just given in! All wrapped up in fleece blanket, hot drinks etc, but then had the problem of freezing hands.0

We have an oil filled radiator that we put on for the first time this season. Ds is doing AS levels and spends quite a lot of time studying in the diningroom, it's chilly tonight and we don't want him studying in the cold. Not put the CH on yet.
