    Hung up my suit!
Still no heating on for me although I must admit it was a bit of a struggle last night. I blasted the electric fan-heater for 30 seconds under my three duvets and that was it. :D

The longer I can last out the more I will enjoy my three months away from mid-November at 33-38C thinking about all of those poor people in the UK. :p

I tried my best, but caved in last night as I was shivering. Heating on for 2 hours, enough to keep me warm long enough to snuggle into bed. I put it on this morning for an hour, I really don't like a cold bathroom. It's a beautifully sunny, if windy day now, ideal for drying a line of washing, will wait and see what this evening brings before I turn the ch back on again but I'll have ironing to do which will help. I'd usually have candles to save on gas/elec but having just got two new cats who are very adventurous at the moment it's not a good idea!

Watch out cats eat sparrows! :p

Maybe you could make a couple of slings, and keep a cat in each either side of you, so they can act like little living hot water bottles curled up against you. :D
  • Thermostat didn't need to click CH on to help again this morning...but I think it must have been close as it def. felt cooler in the house when I got up.

Its been a beautiful sunny day here but its only about 14 outside , im now gonna put the GCH on for about an hour , that will last me until I go to bed around 9......
I want to light the fire of a evening now as its the chilliest time , but I go into hospital on Monday for an op and I know when I come out I wont be able to carry the coal and logs in , so I think for next 3 wks I wont use the fire but I will be able to turn the heating on , I just love to watch the flames flickering in the fire , perhaps I should paint some flames on the radiator....lol..:D

Could be tempted here - but resisting :) put some candles on, have been baking, which has made the kitchen lovely and warm....now time or the fleecy blanket. Keep warm everyone!
  • hubby's just come down and said he's put the winter duvet on on top of the summer one...mmmmm snuggly tonight. Still no heating on, my laptop's keeping my nether regions warm :rotfl: but it does feel a bit nippy on the finger tips.
