  • LR is currently at 62f (thanks to the CH I switched on while I had a bath), and I'm sitting here in the altogether.

Now I'm worried it'll be too warm, for me to sleep under my 15 TOG Duvet.
  • Off, as usual. 12C in living room, not really bothering me.

The worrying thing is my British Gas bill predict seems to be hovering around the same mark whenever I put my readings in, heaven knows what it would be if I was using heating like I used to (timed to come on for hours in the morning and evening from October to April!)
  • Well heating was most definately on here. In this weather, why anyone sane would do without heating is beyond me (unless due to dire financial hardship.) It's not worth the risk to your health.
The winds were fierce and there were a few snow flurrys but sadly, none lay.
Thankfully the winds have now died down but still cool enough.

I'm quite sane, funnily enough all the people I know who are in warm stuffy houses are currently laid up with coughs and colds, I am fine, being hardy goes well with being broke!

If it gets really cold I'll put the heating on but for me really cold is when it's less than 1C outside, which it isn't at the moment here

As I don't have heating there isn't much of a decision to make!

Needless to say it is pretty horrible...at least during the week I am at work!
  • Thermostat set to 12 degrees in our room (room generally sits at about 9 so keeping it a few degrees warmer). Heating not on at the moment though but I have put the fire on for half hour or so to finish off drying the washing that I managed to hang out on the line earlier.

Trouble is, I can't get the clothes even close to it as the 2 big dogs and 2 puddy tats are hogging the heat! :rotfl:

I'm about to turn the heating on for an hour or so. Have tried moving around and also sitting under a blanket. My toes are frozen and I'm starting to feel miserable.

The heating is on. I have set it for 18 degrees and will let it stay at that temperature.

Does anyone leave the heating on overnight? I never see the point, as you are asleep anyway. But i know a few people who leave it on during the night.
I turn mine off about 7pm and it goes back on about 7-7.30am.

The best way to deal with cold feet is having a hot water bottle and keep your feet on it, also good to keep your slippers on when feet on bottle, you would be surprised how quick your lower half of body keeps warm.........

Its dam cold outside today, Ive had GC heating on for most of the day , but ive now turned it off and have lit sitting room fire with the door shut keeps a really nice temp, plus its so comforting having flames to look at..........

Thank you, Shegar. I'll have to get myself a hot water bottle. I've been trying to convince the dog to lay on my feet but she won't do it :)
