I have got fed up of running round switching things on and off all the time.
So, it is on constant now between 6am and around 9pm (but will change it to 7pm on nights i'm at work). To be honest I think this is more effective and am hoping it actually works out the same money wise as it being on and off, then me turning up thermostat to heat place up. This way I have actually turned the temp down, no need so far to put upstairs rads on as heat is constantly going upstairs, and have also ended up turning one of the rads downstairs down too during the day.
I'm not sure with being new to this system if that is the best way to work it financially, but it is how I will do it for this winter and see what bills I get. Plus i'm not blasting it to heat the place up with it being a constant warm temp.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
It's still quite warm in our house and I even slept naked last night. :DIt's meant to get colder this week though isn't it so I won't be doing that for a while probably.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

It's cold here but I'm on the sofa under my blanket, 2 hot water bottles and slippers on. My fur baby (my male cat) is also snuggling with me

I'm so hoping the cold spell won't happen as well,I really hate the winter.Still off today.0 -
I put it on for half an hour earlier and that was all I could manage, I hate the heat given off by radiators. It seems to give off a stuffy heat and none of us enjoyed it.
I have one DD who always says it cold and the other one who is never cold, hard to please everybody!0 -
Heating still off here in Cumbria, candle lit, 2 blankets on sofa and hot water bottles. 1 part of me is looking forward to the cold snap as its very Christmassy, and the other part of me is thinking I don't want huge fuel bills!!!

Heating is ON now in Cumbria. If DD had been ok it probably would've lasted longer being off but she's full of a cold so decided to put the heating on, made sure I've hung some washing on it though, may as well make the most of it!!!
