Good Evening - hope you got through Monday ok! My day dragged like hell, but at least it's over now.

Today was Day One of my quest to conquer my sugar addiction. This is what I've eaten:

8am - Porridge made with water and a splash of milk and blueberries
    Cup of Peppermint tea

10am - One slice of wholemeal toast with flora and marmalade
    1 med banana
    Cappuccino from machine

    11am - peppermint tea

12.30 - mixed salad leaves, cherry toms, red pepper, mixed chilli olives (yum) and houmous (forgot to bring my pitta, so calories saved :A:A:A)
    2 clementines

    3pm - apple and coffee

6.30pm - HM 3 bean chilli with 1 tablespoon of rice (white - naughty, should have been brown) and half a pitta

And that's it. I'm in such a bad mood, as I really **am** addicted to SUGAR!!!! (and I have pmt):rotfl:

This evening I'm going to do at least 30 minutes of my Pilates DVD, then bath and bed, to stop me eating - with maybe a cup of coffee if I'm lucky

I feel so deprived :( I normally have a few biscuits a day and snack on nuts, fruit, dried fruit, the odd choccie bar or bread and butter, so if I can kick the habit of grazing I reckon I'll lose weight with ease as that really is my problem, rather than portion control. Despite all the running, I eat too much - not exactly crap, just too often.

It's so boring that it takes up so much time and thought, but I really want to lose at least a stone in the next 2 months and possibly another stone after that.
Fingers crossed, this time I *will* do it :o

In money news, I rang the bank to get a mortgage balance. Wish I hadn't bothered! Since we started the new mortgage we have paid £6472 in repayments and that has knocked the princely sum of £306 off our balance :rotfl::o
We took it out over 25 years, intending to pay it off sooner, and should be able to overpay another £200 a month soon, but still - that hurt.

I just forgot how slowly the balance moves in the first few years of a mortgage - depressing, but it has certainly focused the mind!!

Hope everyone reading has had a good day :)

I wasn't too sure about 40, and made some REALLY bad decisions, but that's what love does for you. Fifty on the other hand opened up a whole new world :-)

Trying to give up sugar when you have PMT? Oh my, I don't envy anyone who gets in your way in the next day or so :rotfl:

Yes Hypno, someone offered me a box of chocolates today and I nearly ripped her head off! :rotfl:
Luckily she's a friend so laughed her head off when I explained the reason for the outburst :o:o:o

DT and Gill - Great, I'm looking forward to 50 too! :j Though my Mum reckons 60 is the new 40 :D (yes, it *is* scary how fast time goes, it only seems like yesterday that DD1 was born and now she's telling me about "P for C" - Philosophy for Children!)

Well, I did my Pilates :j:j:j

    10 mins Pilates for Abs
10 mins Pilates for "Buns" and Thighs
    10 Pilates BURN
    and 10 for Flexibility

I feel all calm and Zen now :D Alot of the moves are similar to Yoga, so it's familiar and is good for stretching out my legs after running. My hamstrings are quite tight, so I'm going to keep it up to counteract that. Since moving I can't find my hand weights as I want to do the sculpting section for the old bingo wings.
I might get another of the 10 Minute Solutions DVDs, the instructors get to the point and are really encouraging. (No Davina flim-flam)

Right off for a soak, then bed to keep me away from temptation :A

    Good morning and Happy Friday!!!

What a week. The PMT/no sugar combo did turn me into a She-Devil :o:o:o I've had to encounter a fair bit of blag and BS this week and as I don't tend to suffer fools - it was a bit testing to say the very least

Anyway, I'll gloss over that :D
I have exercised every day, either running, pilates or good ole "Blast off Belly Fat" (lovely title) and have lost an inch off my waist and hips - whooohooo!!! :j:j:j
It's tom so I tend to hold onto weight and have a double whammy loss next week, but I'll still weigh-in on Sunday.

Last night we went for a curry with my friend and her new BF and a load of people I haven't seen for yonks. We had such a good laugh and catch up. My dear friend is moving away :( but it's because she's found love, so I'm delighted for her :D She's not going yet, but it was the first farewell gathering and she did look a bit reflective through the night :(
We've already got girly weekends planned to visit her, with lots of cackling and champagne drinking on the train planned :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Tonight is *another* meal out (the calories ) - it's like going back 10 years - 2 nights on the trot!!!

But first, I have to check the accounts, sort some paperwork out and go for a yummy facial.

The rain is torrential and wind howling here, so everything will be a battle today - including picking up my 2 from school and their two little friends that are coming for tea. I had planned to walk them home - but little DD won't hack that , so I'll have to try and squeeze 4 carseats in the car somehow....

Hope anyone reading has a good one xx

    Thanks Hypno :)

I'm feeling a bit tender today, so I'm having a take it easy day. The house is clean and tidy, so other than a bit of washing there is nothing to do. I'll change the beds, then go for my facial. It's so relaxing and well worth the £32.

It's recycling day here and I've just had the shame of putting out my glass box, with 100's of wine and champagne/prosecco/cava bottles :o
Luckily there's a token jar of coffee on top :rotfl:
Ah well, it *was* Christmas and DH's birthday - even though we do look like winos in front of the new neighbours!

    Have a good day :)

Well done on keeping up with the exercise regime. I really admire your persistence. I, on the other hand, must try harder.
