So, now I'm off for my facial - this year is definitely the year I look after me. When I get back I'm going to make a large pan of tomato and bean soup and let that simmer while I do at least 20 minutes of "Blast off Belly Fat" Horrible title, but great DVD (if I do it )

I like the sound of the facial - have been thinking about getting one for a while but don't know where to go! Too much choice around here so don't know where is good/bad/indifferent.

Also like the sound of that DVD - that's definitely where I put weight on. I need to start doing Shred again but I'm scared of the pain.:o I did buy some new work out clothes today, so that's a step towards actually working out, isn't it?

I used to go to the local college for my facials/eyebrow waxing/haircuts and colours. Fraction of the cost of salons and results just as good. I tended to go to the 2nd year classes. Unfortunately my new local college dont have any of that going on. It is very MSE way to treat yourself but also try out it out to see if you like it.

:rotfl: Shred is a bit too torturous for me to enjoy it but it does work! I do like that it really makes you feel like you've done proper exercise though!

My sister does the pole dancing fitness classes and she loves it but it sounds very hard. Hanging upside down from a pole using your thighs anyone? Thighs of steel. :rotfl: I most certainly do *not* have thighs that strong.

    Hello Sashy and Cheri :)
Yes Sash, buying the gear *is* one step closer. Shred is good, but my arms and legs seem to tone up quickly and for me it's not the most effective workout. I defo need Abs focus. So I'm going to carry on running and Blasting whilst dieting - but God it's tedious!

We still have loads of snow and I was driving downhill from school - with a busy main junction at the bottom - when my brakes locked :eek::eek:
It was very scary, luckily I managed to swerve to the right and stop the car. Then tried to turn around and go back up the hill but didn't have enough traction and cars were getting stuck behind me! Trauma!!!!!:o

Anyway, back to exercise, I hope it's gone in the morning as I need to go blinking running. I've got a 10k at the end of Jan and a Half Marathon 2 weeks later _pale_

My DS hates being in the car with me in bad weather because if something happens I just freeze. Well done on controlling the car.

    Enjoy your weekend.

It was a bit of a heartstopper and DD1 tells everyone we meet, so it must have seem scary to her.

Back to ballet and swimming lessons today. It was little DD's first one today (after we took her 6 months ago, then stopped, as for 3 weeks she sat at the side refusing point plank to get in ). I've been mentioning it all week and was met with a flat "I'm not going". But I decided this time she was. AND she not giving up, swimming lessons can save your life, so are non-negotiable. Anyway, to my relief, she got straight in :j And enjoyed it! :j

Now they are both next door at a party/sleepover, so although I've got a long list of jobs to do, I'm going to tak advantage and enjoy the solitude and veg on the sofa for a few hours before shaking a leg later. DH and I might even go out! :j:j:j

 Mac that sounds really scary with the car, I would have just panicked but I hate driving anyway never mind in bad weather.

I ordered some hand weights and the Blast off Belly Fat dvd last night as it sounds like a good idea (thanks :T). Why is the title so unattractive though? :rotfl:

Glad that little DD enjoyed her swimming lessons. :)
