It's a very scary thing to do, working out how much Christmas 'actually' cost, rather than what you think it cost.
Its the being focussed on checking, and knowing what to expect. I know some people keep actual accounts for the house, but I'm not that organised, so have to keep checking bank accounts.
Well done on the not overeating. My friend has just called round and was shocked that we still have chocolates unopened. Once she opens a box, she keeps going until they are all gone. But I have to be strict, and ration myself to half a dozen chocolates per night.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

My friend has been finishing off all the chocs in her house because she "has to get rid of them" before she starts her diet on Monday!
I confess I *have* had some biscuits this evening. I'm bored, but cold and tired so don't have any energy to do much more than this
I've sent a pm about the MFiT challenge, as I'm going to get back on with that, but haven't yet added up Chrimbo yet.
Right, think I'm going to have an early night xx0 -
Well, didn't have an early night. got a second wind and decided to blitz the kitchen. Scrubbed the hob, swept and mopped the floor, sorted the recycling and unstacked and reloaded the dishwasher
While waiting for the floor to dry, I've inputted all my badness (wine and biccies) into NT and and used today as a treat day, so allocated more calories for today.
I've decided to keep right away from all chocolate and biscuits until I lose more weight and my will is stronger, cos once I break the seal, I can't stop:o:o
I'm going for a run in the morning so tomorrow is another day0 -
Chocolates! If I'm serious about being healthy, I don't have them, or anything except dried fruit, in the house - if its here, I'll eat it
And as far as Christmas accounts are concerned, or any accounts really, I never relate it to the budget - I'm going to start doing that, tying together the plan and the reality. I'm pretty sure Christmas was in budget, but the house development has cost way more than I planned (of course!) so I have to pull back one way or another.
Your blitz was really late, macgirl! Are you pleased with the result tho? It sounds like your kitchen will look lovely :j
And you have a facial to look forward to today :j:j:j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm with you KC, if they're in the house - I'll eat them! Unfortunately, we still have the dregs of boxes of chocs/biscuits lying around plus I often have biscuits in the house for the kids.
However, today is a new day and I have renewed resolve :j Had my running gear on this morning, then little DD woke up and started crying because I leave early every day and she just wanted me to be home - ok, can't argue with that - but snow was forecast and now it's snowing like billyo!!!
Went to the supermarket and bought lots of healthy food and jaffa cakes (which I can take or leave, but are low cal if I feel the urge:D). I had a £40 voucher from my kind MiL towards Christmas lunch, so it didn't cost as much as it would have done.
So, now I'm off for my facial - this year is definitely the year I look after me. When I get back I'm going to make a large pan of tomato and bean soup and let that simmer while I do at least 20 minutes of "Blast off Belly Fat" Horrible title, but great DVD (if I do it )
Then I have the task of taking down the tree and dragging it outside ready for the local Scouts to collect this weekend. The living room will look bare again, as our furniture looked swamped beforeI bought a housey magazine for ideas so will flick through that this evening for ideas to steal and do cheaply myself :money:
Have a good day to anyone reading and stay warm0 -
Nope, you can't argue with a little DD crying that ..... she'll remember you listened.
Was the facial nice? Never thought about low cal jaffa cakes (I watch too much Stargate - I call them Jaffar cakes now) your OH will know what I'm on about

I'm sure he will KC! The girls are having a sleepover next door tomorrow night, so I asked DH if he'd like to go and see The King's Speech. He has been asking me to go and see Tron with him for weeks (:o) can't say it'll be my cup of tea. I said it looked a bit scary for me, he rolled his eyes and said "It's a KID'S film" (it's PG
!)
The facial was *Divine*Only the 3rd time I've ever had one, but this particular beautician is very good. She was recommended by a friend, whose skin has started to look amazing. She works on you for the full hour - no leaving you with a face mask on to listen to whale music for 20 minutes.
Honestly, I look about 15 again! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Did my 20 mins of exercise. Found BOBF DVD, with no DVD in it - grrr. So did my 10 Minute Solutions Pilates instead. I love the 10 minute series. Becuase you can do 10 minutes at a time, you tend to do more. I'm going to try and do it 5 days a week now.
Had WW soup for lunch as didn't have time to do HM. And treated myself to 2 maryland cookies as they are only 55 cals each :j I've decided I *do* need a small sweet treat everyday to keep me motivated. Entered all food onto my online food diary and still have 472 calories left after my evening meal :T
I've also stripped the tree of the millions of baubles and lights (I do go OTT at Chrimbo), so all we need to do tonight is drag is outside and then spend the rest of the evening hoovering up the squillions of pine needles
Right, will have a quick scoot round here, then head off in the snow to collect the girls and see my Auntie.0 -
