Yes Gill, you're right. It did go better than expected and I feel a bit guilty for being bothered about my feelings....
I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I guess that is every parent's greatest fear - it's certainly mine. If I can see my kids into adulthood it'll be job done. How brave of your friend.
Well, I've been very rock'n'roll and done some ironing - feels like I've done my homework early! I tried to get the kids to do the same - but to no avail.
Tomorrow I'm having a few friends over for lunch, so I've semi blitzed the house and will finish in the morning.
Now I'm going to tot up what I've spent this week and have a look at the new house budget and see if things are still on track.0 -
Am impressed re the ironing....!

Hello, well I woke up, put on my running gear (together with new top and hat:D), looked out of the window to see a light blanket of snow and decided to run anyway.
It was quite powdery, so I had good grip and managed 6 miles, so felt good for going. I've still got stomach ache on and off though, so felt a bit "heavy" when I got back.
Still I finished cleaning the house, hoovered the stairs and upstairs and cleaned the bathroom. Then friends and their kids came for lunch and they've just left.
So now the girls and I are cuddled up on the sofa, fire on, watching Home Alone - the perfect Pre-Christmas afternoon. That's all I plan to do today.
We're leaving for my uncle's party at 7pm and although I'm looking forward to the party, I'd quite happily stay at home in front of the fire watching Strictly0 -
Blimey you did a lot - I really should go out for a run this afternoon before it gets too dark.....hmmm, I have a headache so it would clear that a bit..
will drink my coffee and see how I feel.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well it was cold, but nice. I had my new skull cap type hat on. My head looked like a bowling ball, as it's not exactly petite - but at least I was toasty!
I'm planning on going again tomorrow, but it might be a bit slippy now it's melting.
DH has just got back from a run on the moors  He said he fell twicerather him than me....

:T Well done! Always feels good to release the endorphins
Drink plenty of water now to flush away the headache - I read that after 40 your body does not notify you of dehydration, so I'm trying to up my consumption x0 -
You two are just *tooooooooooo* healthy :rotfl:
I hope the party goes really well, macgirl.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thank KC, just getting ready to go now - well, I'm not dressed and have yet to do my hair and make-up. We're leaving in 20 mins
