Thanks for easing my conscience - that was my thinking ;)

Added to the fact I have loads of school bumpf to sort out this evening, so once I've wrestled the kids into bed, it'll be time for bed myself.

An early night - perfect! I should probably try for one of those myself.

    Sleep well xx

Brrrr! How cold is it today?!

I made a stew late last night and woke with a fright at 2am, realising it was still in the oven!
Luckily it was only on very low so it's currently being reheated for the kids (after being reliably informed it would be ok - here's hoping :D). Someone suggested I get a slow cooker, so I might look into that, as I know it is one of the OS 10 commandments.

There have been signs on the motorway asking is your vehicle ready for Winter....So this morning I investigated what exactly that meant. New wiper blades, oil change (I just put £10's worth last night ), check the tyres etc. So sounds to me like a winter service. I do alot of motorway miles and my car is about 7 years old, so I might have to invest in one to preserve it's life.

Payday tomorrow -Yippeeee! :j Most of the Christmas shopping has been done, so I'll work out tonight what's still to buy. We're having my in laws for Christmas, so extra budget will be needed for food and I'l have to make sure I book a slot for a delivery.

Hope anyone reading has had a good day - wrap up tonight :)

Ooh, thats scary about the stew! I'veleft things *out* overnight by accident, but never *on*, yet .... gulp ...

If you're driving a lot, I'm sure those preparations are important - and someone mentioned about keeping a blanket in the car, and some emergency snacks? Not in the boot, either, in the car.

I've just wrapped all the kid's Christmas presents - a month early! :j
I've never been this organised so early and it's great to get it out of the way - though a bit weird not to have a glass of Bailey's in my hand :D
  • :jon getting the presents wrapped. I have to have mince pies and some sort of alcohol, and the tree lights on when I wrap presents so it must have felt strange. I think I'll take my car at the weekend and get brother to check it out. Was only thinking yesterday when I cleared out the junk in it, that I should keep something in the car 'just in case'

Don't worry Gill, for the next stint of wrapping I'm sure I'll have some festive spirit ;)

End of the working week for me and payday - life doesn't get better than this :D It's freezing here, but no snow thankfully. I hope it stays off until Sunday at least. We're at a family party in Liverpool on saturday so I don't want to miss it due to snow.

Will check the accounts this evening and see how things are. Bought a few more pressies today and managed to buy some in a sale :money: Then treated myself to a luminous yellow warm running top and got chatting to the sales guy. He asked if I was a member of a running club and I said "no", pity as I'd have got discount. Nevermind, I said - then he gave me £5 off anyway :j
So I will give it a road test in the morning - no excuses now, so I'm hoping for 6 miles tomorrow.

Hope you are warm if you're reading :)

And hurrah for wrapping presents a month early too! I haven't really bought any presents yet - but I'm going to blitz at the big health food store in a local town, and get yummies there for everyone.

Stay warm - I did a ten minute fast walk about an hour after it was dark, and it was **freezing**.
