I'm just editing to say, PLEASE make sure your bags are from Tesco. Combining TESCO and dog poo is such poetic justice).

I just happen to have a load of scented nappy sacks which I used, mums dog is a Parsons Russell (Jack Russell Terrier), so small shoval and nappy bag is adequate size and the scented smell helps enormously!

TBH, is anyone likely to admit to not scoooping?I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0

I've read other web sites where they tell you to put this down or that down but I need something permanent to keep them off and something that will definitely work.
I don't know helpful my suggestion is, but get a cat of your own.
Your puss sprays around his/her territory and other cats stay away.
Or alternatively write a sign and leave it at cats eye level, asking them not to do it.

Arm yourself with a water pistol. Whe you see a cat on your drive, squirt.
It won't be hurt, but it won't like it, and they'll soon get the message and clear off.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

I always pick up the pap. It infuriates me when people don't, especially when its somewhere that kids like to play, have a kick about with a ball.
I once had a shouty fight with this baig fat lazy woman who used to walk her 2 alsations down by where I lived. I saw her one day, she stood and watched the dog take a wass dump then just bl oody walked off so I shouted "oy, are you not goin to pick that up?" She pretended she couldn't hear so I shouted again, only louder. She just carried on walking so I shouted, "next time I see you and your B stard dogs round here I'll be phoning the warden." Never saw her or her big pap secreting dogs again. She probably took them to the local playground for a crap after that- ignorant woman.
Moral of the story being- if you catch an owner "not" picking up the pap, shout at them,it either makes them pick it up or avoid your local area out of sheer embarresment...RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

Just shout at them:mad: , then blatantly take photos of them and the offending mutt, which you'll promise to send to the local council!!
Owners have duties and obligations and can be fined..RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

You should always clean it up anywhere livestock might come into contact with it. There are parasites in dog faeces which can cause abortion in cattle among other things.gravitytolls wrote:Cos the fields generally full of crops, or weeds, or maybe ploughed. Anyhoo, with the possible exception of a tractor, a people ain't gonna step in it.0

 thats disgusting :mad:Jay-Jay wrote:Today my toddler and I took the cat to the vets as puss needs an op. Just as we were turning into the gate my daughter fell over and skidded along the pavement. Ok, it's what kids do, she was unhurt so we carried on inside.
We got into the vets, sat down and I thought I sould smell something dodgy. I checked the cat, looked around and noticed that my daughters toy was covered in dog poo. I took it from her and then realised that her coat (brand new on Saturday) Jeans (brand new on Sunday) shoes, and hand were covered in poo. Just then the vet came out and called my name
I was flippin mortified! WHY do people think it's ok to leave their animals s**t on the pavement?
Do YOU scoop the poop?
one of my pet hates is people who let their dogs !!!!!! on pavements and dont pick it up
this morning taking DD to school we walked past freshly laid turds on the pavents leading up to this school, and this area is a money area and you would think they would be more particular :mad:0

WHAT? So people with money are supposed to pick it up but those without would leave it there??????? Hmmmmmmmmmm
Anyway, to keep cats away, sprinkle pepper ALL OVER and they will sniff it and sod off. I used to have a problem and now the cats don't come near. I used to put the pepper down each time I cut the grass, or in the winter, just after a hot dry spell.,
I hate all pets anyway, never been an animal lover so it annoys me when there is crap all over. Disgusting0
