Sugar in the fuel tank is a myth. It doesn't work. The worst it could possibly ever do is clog up a fuel filter, but in reality it just sits on the bottom of the tank. Mythbusters did an episode on it.

  • This is an everyday pattern during the morning commute. I actually now leaves a bit earlier than him so I can avoid this danger.

who should I report it to? his parents? to the local police? someone down the local told me that the police don't actually do much about these things as they are so common.

If this is happening at a regular time the police have a good chance of witnessing it.If you can convince them it is as dangerous as you say they may take an hour out of a quiet shift to follow him.Speak to the police just to find out if they are interested.

Film the driver and put it on youtube with a title like "DaveChav'z mad overtakin skillz" and tags like "cruise gloucester A38 Golf GTI"

The police seem to have people on staff these days that just investigate driving videos on youtube, rather than going out and looking for it.

The trouble is he could kill someone. My biggest fear when driving is not my driving but some idiot coming the other way, particularly on country roads.

If you do nothing it will resolve itself sooner or later.
But to try to prevent anyone else being affected I would "dob" him in with the police. At least then you/ve really done all you can (legally).;);)

Does anyone else share your views, 2 or 3 complaints are much more likely to be acted on
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
