How to stop a dangerous driver?

That said, in the case of the driver in the OP, it sounds like it would be well deserved.
I think anyone who likes to drive "enthusiastically" will probably of had at least two people who thought their driving was dangerous etc simply because they were travelling at a pace higher than they deemed suitable - doesn't mean it actually is.
As much as i'd love to sympathise, I can't help thinking of some of the perfectly safe overtakes i've done where i've received some sort of ill will (flashing / hand gestures etc). If I were to get a "talking to" despite having done nothing wrong, with 0 proof i'd be pretty annoyed. Or worse still my parents, who don't really have that much of an idea about driving itself...
As for letting down his tyres... no words.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
I'd pop in to the local traffic division and tell them your concerns, give them times and places etc, then leave them to get on with it.
He's an accident waiting to happen, that's going to look bad on their targets for the year, I would think that would spur them into setting a speed trap round the corner for him.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

However we only have the OP's side of the story...

I agree entirely. I get the same abuse from perfectly legal and safe overtakes.
That said the OP claims he forced an oncoming car off the road to avoid a head on collision, so unless that was made up or exaggerated (or it was one of those annoying situations where the overtakee speeds up) then a talking to is probably needed.0 -

People seem to like overtaking just before the blind bends on the A4046 Cwm - Ebbw Vale. Too many times there gone round a corner to be faced with a car on my side of the road not in a position to get back to their own lane, which isn't much fun starting with a closing speed of 120mph+. Mucho braking and horn blowing0 -

I wish this wasn't the case, but I am much more aware of these things now after been faced with a blue scooby riding straight into my lane (same road as the Red 03 reg Golf Gti) at very high speed (this one was chased by a heavily moded Corsa:D)I almost had a heart attack when he just squeezed less than two feet back to his lane. I filed a complaint now with the local plod, all they said was that this vehicle was reported by others.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

That's all they told you but that doesn't mean it's all they've done.
It's probably against some data protection law that they cannot tell you what punishment if any has been given to an erratic or dangerous driver.

Chavs in a Corsa racing a Scooby :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
there's always some daft youngster willing to throw every penny he has at his car to make it faster. I've heard of come corsa drivers taking a 2.0T engine and dropping it into their car. That's a 200bhp plus engine as standard. But all it takes is a bigger turbo and a few other mods and you're looking at a 300bhp corsa.
Probably a decent match for a Scooby in s straight line.
Ultimately they've still only got a corsa that their insurance thinks is a 1.2L!! :rotfl:
