  • That is very handy to know, might save me a few pennies if I can just get a netbook instead of an all singing all dancing laptop.

    Thanks ladies. x

I have a Netbook and a Laptop, both of which I use for MS. I also run Office on the Netbook with no problems whatsoever. The only downside I find is sometimes you have to scroll across the page as doesn't all fit on the screen, and also I miss having use of a separate number pad.

Much, much more convenient to carry out if you are MS'ing on the go too.

(went to the Gym today, it is lovely isn't it... do you still go there?)

Right, looks like netbook might be the best way then if they can't fix mine.

I don't still go i'm afraid, the prices they charge for membership i'd never be able to afford it! Have you signed up yet? I had a little lump in my throat when I paid my joining fee and first months membership!

It is lovely though, best tennis facilities i've seen for miles. I think that was my favourite part.

Also, if anyones been doing any DUK or shooting stars etc recently did you see any good deals on laptops about?

If you don't mind an ex-corporate reconditioned laptop I can give you the name of the ebay shop that I got mine from?

Yep, I'm not fussy. Anything that gets me back MS'ing again will be fine :D. It's quite disconcerting sitting and watching telly every evening instead of being on here or various other MSing company sites.

Aggghhh my laptop is broken

Can access the internet at work, but they've blocked all the usb port things so I can't plug my phone/camera in to upload photos so no jobs for me for a few days :(

Pennies/Squidge my next booked job isn't until Friday so hopefully will be fixed by then, but if I find out it'll take a few days to repair then I'll let you know before I release it incase you want it. Although it's a bit of a dive of a place to be fair, so you might want to steer well clear!

    Sigh.

Just reading some of the other comments on this. You could get the Samsung Galaxy Tablet when it comes out, it's a phone but it's like an Ipad (it has Flash Player unlike the Ipad). Our Samsung rep had one and it looks gorgeous but I can't have it as I already have 5 phones on my contract. :( I really shouldn't work in a phone shop.

Also check curry's or PC World for the clearance stock as a lot of them are going two in one and getting rid of a lot of stock. Got netbook for £150 with Linux which is dead easy to use just for Msing.

    Hi Folks,

Have started Msing seriously now and signed on with lots of companies. I was just wondering what you tell your friends about what you do? So far I have been a bit cryptic but have you come clean or kept it secret?

    Would love to know,

    Mamashaz

They know what i'm up to. My best friend often has free meals. I do jobs in my dinner hour and they know what i'm up to to. Don't go shouting about it, but see no reason to be secret. So lond as you can trust them not to walk behind you shouting 'mystery shopper' your fine.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
