My first job for RE in over 6 months is booked for this weekend, just received an "are you still doing this job?" email.
I now remember why I hate this outfit so much.
I was actually tempted to reply with "I was still going to do the job, but as you've wasted 2 minutes of my life that I'll never get back, I'm now not going to, so cancel it and shove it up your bottom", but I didn't as it's to one of my favourite places.0 -
I did an assignment for a bank for them and was blocked at the entrance and asked if I needed help .The member of staff was very insistent so I had to tell her what I was going to do at the counter and so could not do the counter interaction.I did everything else though.I just received an email from GFK stating that I will not be paid as I did not do the counter bit and I can't find a telephone number to call them.I was in the bank for more than 20 mins and I am not happy about not being paid.Does anyone have a telephone number for them please?:(
I had a really awkward bank cashier once who insisted that at her branch they never give receipts for transactions paid in over the counter using the loose paying in slips located on the counter. She informed me I either use the paying in slip at the back of my cheque book or no receipt! I insisted I needed a receipt and I had run out of slips at the rear of my cheque book. The senior cashier agreed with her and suggested I use my "usual" branch if I want a receipt in future..... no wonder the number of complaints has risen!
Sorry can't help with the telephone contact number. Is there one on the job notes?0 -

Thanks guys for the suit advice. My client doesn't have a girlfriend, hence he has me. Dunno if I can tell you my company name, in case it counts as advertising? I'm a personal concierge - basically a freelance p.a and errand runner. This particular bloke is single, solvent and works 70 hour weeks.
Can I say the company? It's the sort of work that might sut some of you guys, so long as you don't live in Glasgow, of course!
I'm intrigued!I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

They say the paperwork MUST be printed. If I can't physically print it for any reason (e.g. when out in the field and using netbook), I print a copy to file. That way I'm complying with their requirements.
Luckily, I have never been intercepted before the counter on any of these jobs. If done outside the peak times (there is usually a sign at the counter) non customers can transact, including getting change, which is the one I always try. It seems a bit strange to reject your assignment because you were intercepted before the counter (as long as you reported this). Some of the branches I have done have had no proper counters anyway, so the brief says not to attempt the counter transaction.0 -

The best one I had was when a man came up and asked "are you the lady with Bob and Jack?" They're my dogs names! It's a man I talk to when I bump into him on the field with his dog, and I'm normally in tatty old clothes. He wasn't sure if it was me or not as I looked smart:rotfl:

They really bug me! I've never let RE down and I've been working for them for years. I'm always tempted to send something sarcastic backHere I go again on my own....0
