    Dear ******
ZoomBits are now under new ownership!
The new owners of this website are now The Rok Group. The previous owners are in the process of going into liquidation, and have called a meeting of the creditors of the company in relation to this. Further details will be posted as they become available.
Please do not worry about your recent order with us. From our records, we see that you are still awaiting delivery of your order placed recently. During the time since placing your order, ZoomBits has undergone a change of ownership and The Rok Group are pleased to announce the purchase of this site on 14 October 2010.
The Rok Group has no association with the previous shareholders or Boards of the previous owners of this website.
We are pleased to announce that we are fully committed to helping all customers with orders identified as being paid for and outstanding, or paid for and not yet fulfilled by the previous owners. These 'outstanding orders' according to records, date back to the period 28 September to 13 October. If you have any queries about an order previous to 28 September 2010, The Rok Group are prepared to look at each case individually - although The Rok Group has no legal obligation to do so. This is the beginning of a new process of striving to achieve excellent levels of Customer Service with all previous and future customers.
It will take up to 10 days from today for us to get the site fully operational.
It is our intention to first deal with you, as a matter of priority, as a valued customer with an outstanding order. As you have been affected by this change of ownership, we will be contacting you again in the next few days and you will be offered a number of options to resolve your particular order. We are working with the previous owners payment providers to resolve this situation as fast as possible.
We appreciate that this may have been a stressful time for you having not heard from us sooner, particularly when no information or contact has been provided to date. This is the first instance that we, The Rok Group, as the new owners, have been legally able to contact you our valued customer.
We will begin contacting all of our customers with outstanding orders from Monday 18 October 2010, so that we can begin speedily resolving your order.
We look forward to contacting you further next week.
    Kind Regards,
    The ZoomBits Team
    (Rok Group Limited)

  • Yep I got the same email from them.
They claim they are going to try and honour previous orders.
Will see if they do, not sure when either.

Also sure everyine has Paypal disputes or CC claims in the pipeline. Not sure what will happen with these. I am not canceling my Paypal one yet, Think there is a 10 day period Paypal dispute the claim for you.

Should we inform Paypal of whats happened ?
  • i was trying to do just that, but i cant see where you would add on extra notes to your claim.

Do NOT cancel your paypal dispute.

They (the original Paypal account holder ) is likely to be personally liable for that debt when it is recovered to you by Paypal.
    Not Again

Possibly not but I'd be concerned about the following

    "Registrant type:
    Non-UK Individual

    Registrant's address:
The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their
address omitted from the WHOIS service."

I know they are based in the Channel islands, so I got a bit nervy about ordering, and stopped to email them and ask if they were connected, but got no reply. Im hesitant to order without even an acknowledgement incase theyre bust too!
Wasnt the original Memorybits connected to r4.co.uk, the addy is too similar for my liking.

    The latest from the website:

Update #2 - Working through the backlog of outstanding orders.
As promised, here is an update of our progress since Friday 15 October.
In an effort to quickly and efficiently get this site fully operational once more, the new management team worked throughout the weekend to put together an effective strategic plan to help all customers that have been affected by the proposed liquidation of the previous owner.
We are happy to announce that from today until Thursday of this week (21 October 2010), we are in the process of contacting each and every customer who may have had an outstanding order, with a view to helping them to resolve the matter. This initial contact will be via email, so please keep an eye on your email inbox over the next couple of days.
As previously stated, you, are our absolute top priority to contact and deal with first. We are working continuously through this backlog of orders and hope to resolve your issue in the next few days.
Our other teams and departments are also working hard on getting this site fully operational, and hope to have the site totally live by Wednesday evening this week (20 October 2010).
May we take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing patience during this time.
    Kind Regards
    Rok Group Limited.
