Oh L that last line brought a tear to my eye...thank you!

Yes a lot has happened. I'm hoping that DD will come back, if not I may have to force the issue, although that may push her further away. For now I'm giving her time to work it out for herself.

The unbelievable thing that is throughout this time the debts are still just sitting there. They are not longer on my credit score as I defaulted over 6 years ago so I have an excellent credit score ! Only one creditor has sent a couple of letters and a couple have sent statements in the past 3 years.

But we are aware that it is still owed and could come back and bite us at a time once we are retired when we have little opportunity to sort it out.

I was wondering if it will be possible to get a new mortgage as my credit rating is good? The idea would be to use some of the equity to be able offer full and final settlements to some of the creditors . One has approached me to do this some years ago, they offered to clear £20k for about a £5k payment.

Am currently trying to clear my overdraft as MSE recommends not using it for at least 3 months before applying for a mortgage to see what they say.

And finally am still wondering if it is possible to do all this and not have to give up the ponios....OH thinks not...but I'm struggling with it...

Time to stop thinking out loud and work on my SOA I think

Thank you for all your support L

I have been doing Cashbook/Cashflow spread sheet over the last 3 months. The first month I was just recording what I spent and it was a bit of shock. Spending has been reined in a bit in August and have paid off a chunk of the o/d. O/d should be cleared by Nov. And I've just realised the O/d isn't on the SOA! ?Doh!

Now time for work ...boss is away so a relaxed day :-)

    Have a good day all....

I'm not very good at SOAs, but wondered if the hosses could go barefoot or fronts only? Are they both ridden? AS i mentioned before have you thought about getting in a sharer?

The satelite and phone package looks high to me but then I just have freeview.

Have you got much planned for the weekend?

Hi L Thanks for having a look at my SoA,

1 ponio is only 2 - G- so is barefoot the other is 6 -H- and had awful feet when I got him last Jan so needs the shoes ridden or not. I may look into getting a sharer for H as I wouldn't have to go to the yard every day either. They are also staying out as for as long as I can to save on bedding, but i know they would quite like to come in and stuff their faces all day at the moment as I had to drag them out this morning!

The the TV package needs to be looked at as it is mainly the sports channel that bumps it up and that is for OH. Maybe I can suggest it comes out of his spending money not mine if he doesn't want to give it up!

Tomorrow I am going with OH and DS to meet my mother, who I haven't seen for 19 years! Long story but I couldn't cope with her at the time and then we lost touch when she went off with a new man. But thanks to FB she got in touch with me again and as she is almost 70 now I've decided to forgive and forget and phoned her last week. Tomorrow is just for coffee and to meet her husband. Fingers crossed we don't fall out! Almost the same as DD and I...it must run in our family.

Today I got a weed notice for my allotment so if I want to keep it I shall have to get my butt over there over the weekend too. And I will try and ride H, do housework etc etc

Hope you have a good one too with the party for DS1 etc

  • Hi Tizer:hello:

    Nice to see you back.

I have been MIA for a few months and now I am getting my butt in gear and trying to pay my debts off properly rather than just pretending.

I have started Payment A Day again and am trying to clear one of my credit cards in 12 weeks:eek:

    Good Luck

Well the meeting with my mum went well. Dragged DS and OH along too for moral support. Met Mums OH. Glad to say that although nearly 70 they are both fit and well, have all their senses and seem comfortable, so nothing to be concerned about. Had a lovely chat for about 2 hours and promised to phone her in a weeks time. The awful thing is I wouldn't have recognized her if she had passed me in the street after 19 years...how sad is that.

Other than that had a lovely ride on the gorgeous Mr H this morning (thats the horse before anyone gets any smutty ideas!)and am about to pop back to turn the Neddies back out as I let them spend the day in bed munching hay.

OH is cooking chicken steaks with salad and new pots for tea and I'm having chicken breast as I am not allowed the crispy batter due to a wheat intolerance.

Have had a thought about the moving house project and I will need to clear the Charge on the property first as I think this will stop me from getting another mortgage. So about £8k to clear. There was compulsorily insurance included in the total and interest on top so when I'm closer to making payments towards it I will see if I can get it reduced. My O/d should be cleared by November so I will write to them then.

    Off to stalk others

    Bye for now

  • Lie in this morning with OH. Ponios in again to give relief from the heat and flies and to munch hay. No riding today as have to do some weed clearing at the plot. Asked DS and OH to help...DS ..NO! OH might walk up after the formula 1....won't hold my breath!

Am very cross as farmers wife was very rude to me this morning...she is to everyone but it does make you not want to hand over your hard earned cash when they can't be polite! I am hoping to move to a cheaper area next year so am reluctant to move the neddies now, but there are cheaper options around....

OK tea drunk am off to weed the plot and see if any veggies survived my neglect...
